Rudy basically talked himself into a corner and had no choice. No props for showing up are deserved.

Also, dude has been training for 25years. I mean really, 25 years of training just tapped out to a few years of BJJ and some MMA stuff as a side dish.

This is deliciously humiliating to have happen to a guy who has bitched and moaned and tossed around constant insults, a guy who has done nothing but troll and harp endlessly about his own capabilities and the failings of others for years.

Look, Macho, we get your point about the necessity of being a MAN about this and letting it go, acknowledging the gravity of Rudy's public humiliation is sufficient punishment.

Except it isn't. I didn't read 1,000 posts spread out over the course of several months to watch a three-minute video and tell Anthony gg. I came for the sheer sadistic thrill of watching someone I don't like get beat up, and I'm sticking around to rub his nose in it for as long as possible. That, my dear fellow, is what we call Frontier Justice and it's a far better approximation of what MEN have historically done.

That said, I want to reiterate, because the concept seems terribly alien to some: Rudy dug his own hole. Not just a couple posts a few people disagreed with, but literally years of ****-talking, name-calling, ducking, lying, manipulating, and every other form of disreputable behavior on top of training in kung fu. I understand your point in alotting him the miniscule amount of credit for showing up, but considering all the **** he put Anthony through beforehand, showing up was expected, not brave. He satisfied the bare minimum requirements by being physically present in the ring, but it was painfully obvious he was shamed into going, not to prove a point, not for honor but simply to avoid looking like a jackass. He tried to bluff his way out of it and wound up backing himself into a corner. No respect. None.

I've been posting on this site for around 4 years. Throughout that time Rudy has spewed hateful bullshit at anyone who questioned his arguments. His posts were routinely misogynistic, he was routinely homophobic and came off as a despicable person. Because he got beat in a fight that started because he is an asshole his reprehensible behavior should be forgotten?

Watching Osiris punk JFS was worth watching that mess. It was probably better than watching Omar getting the **** beat out of him by Kat. I really wanted to see that though.
When Omar showed up looking like a little *****, it was easy to see that he hadn't earned and didn't deserve to fight someone of Kat's calibre. But who didn't enjoy watching JFS's buttermilk turned into bullshit.

I totally understand where you are coming from. What Rudy has done in the past should never be forgotten or forgiven.

The other side of the coin, he did step up, he did throw leather, and he took his loss as a man. For that, he gets my props. A little long in the making, but it got done. It's closure for that question.
