As a point, in relation to Mav's excellent article, it is rare that someone has been universally recognised as heroic and badass, even 4chan, with their reputation for 'hilarity' have said that Professor Librescu is the greatest badass since King Leonidas.

True heroism. I can't show my respect enough for such an act.

I'm glad I happened to go here and read this article today. I can't do this man's actions justice with my words but would like to say he is a real hero. It's nice to read a story like this in a world where bad deeds seem to be noticed more than the good.
