As an instructor I spar with my students every class--it's one of the selling points, as I see it.
As for sparring my instructor, I have none some light/no-contact sparring with him a couple of times but that is it. However, he typically only does full contact sparring these days, and only with his most senior students (which I don't qualify as yet), as other people tend to get seriously injured. Honestly, I can't blame him because he hits like a freight train and he is the faster fighter I have seen--I don't particularly want to spar him at anything other than light/no-contact.
Ten at once, or one at a time sparring? Just asking.

Sparring generally implies two people unless otherwise specified. But yes, I have participated in medium-contact multiman drills where he was the one, and I was part of the multi. It hurts a lot.

Everywhere I've trained the instructors have happily sparred. Except during my brief walk on the LARP side when I was 14

Outside of Aikido I have sparred every instructor I have ever had.
My instructor spars every class. It seems to be his way of evaluating everyone.
Karate- Everyone spars
TKD-Chief instructor never does, other instructors sometimes.
I sparred my BJJ coach on my second day and I sparred my judo coach in tachiwaza and newaza on my first.

I have sparred my instructor, and to me its more impressive when an instructor can show you that you know very little without beating the crap out of you. Having a 130lb guy fireman carry you into an armbar all relaxed like or out box you by evading all your punches and simultaneously tapping you with counterpunches is just as impressive to me as if he went all out wailing on me.

Yes, he's randoried me on the ground---first time i actually contemplated faking an injury to stop fighting and standup against him seems about as pointless as trying to fight a concrete wall.
Also he has recently had hip surgery and hurt his shoulder....may God help us all if he is injury free one day.

My sensei isnt legally allowed to spar. His hands are classified as lethal weapons. He would kill us all in seconds if we tried to spar.

All of mine do (in my gallery there are a few videos (http://www.bullshido.net/gallery/showgallery.php/cat/500/page/2/ppuser/5651) of one of the ZSK instructors, Glen Cudjoe), though in BJJ they don't normally join in with the beginner's class sparring. But I don't think you could accuse people like Roger Gracie of being unwilling to roll. :icon_wink
I am the last in line (newest n00b) in my school, and our black belt has sparred with me more than once, I don't see that he gets anything out of it other than the love of teaching, as I present him absolutely zero challenge, but I love that he rolls with everyone.
When I was in Fang you COULD ask to spar with an instructor, but it was rare, and they would go very hard on you if you did. Keeps the mystique alive, doncha know.

My Instructor fighting at Clash of the Titans.
He spars with me almost every week. We sometimes have sessions where I'm the only student in, and for an hour straight he just annihilates me.

I watched my instructor get schooled by Braulio Estima on saturday. Man that guy was amazing.
I watch both of my instructors outclass and outbox the pants, socks, and frilly underwear off of most anyone.
