Hey all..
I use protein bars for meal replacement generally when I'm at work. As we all know its quite difficult to find a great tasting protein bar and I thought maybe y'all could share your faves.
GNC has their brand "Pro Crunch" bars on sale this month so I thought I'd try them. I actually think that these bars taste really good .. especially the EXTREME WHEY caramel ones. The only ones of this line I'd stay away from are the "Lite" because they are more like granola bars as opposed to your typical protein bar.

I miss protein bars so much!!!!!
They cost a fortune over here in Thailand ...... If you can even find them.
I'm a big fan of the Maximuscle bars, but they're a British company so I'm not sure if they've got any market penetration up your way.
Good Bars though.

The snickers protein bars are some of the best tasting things out there. Nutritionally, they are pretty much candy covered whey protein.
You should try to eat jerkey, yogurt, nuts, fruits and veggies instead. Cheaper + better for you = win.

I've always liked the Cliff Bar Builder protein bars. 20g of protein per bar and they're quite tasty.

myoplex has the best protein bars in terms of protein content (like 50+g) and flavor (that is, they don't taste like sugar, **** and sawdust.)

I actually dislike the taste of most Myoplex products save the ready made protein shakes. I haven't tried the protein bars but I'll check them out tomorrow since they are on sale at the GNC by my place.

Aussie bodies protein FX bar is the best I have ever had. Doesnt taste like a protein bar at all but its an Australian brand so good luck finding it. I have had the Myoplex storm bars and they are also pretty good.

I have to add GNC Pro Crunch "Chocolate Crisp" to the list. I had it yesterday, probably my favourite of the Pro Crunch line.

Detour is particularly good.
But for an alternative, check out the dessert thread in this forum from John Berardi - he has a lot of excellent desserts that can double as protein snacks.
