I'd agree in terms of merit. I even took your position when I originally found out that Joe was filming TUF 5. Here's the thing: Joe is an extremely well-spoken, intelligent, and likable guy. Exposure on national TV is going to do him nothing but good, even if he were to lose. I'd rather see him on UFC PPVs myself, but this is a good career move for him.
I think its crap we have 3 threads about this now, one of which is even news on the front page, still crap if you don't count that one and we only have 2.
But on a serious note, he should have earned himself a spot after beating Jenz like that but no real harm will come to him from him being on TUF. So if they hadn't offered him any other UFC spots, then why not go for the win on TUF?

I think it's perfect for him to answer the people saying it was a fluke.

Even if he loses, he'll end up in the UFC anyway...how many other TUf losers get fights regularly? He's much better than most of them.
Too lazy to look it up--when does TUF 5 premiere?

Well, the "official" site launches on March 15, so I imagine they'll announce it then.
win or lose, he'll be on a better paying contract cause of this.

He dominated the whole fight though. A lucky punch is a fluke, that fight wasn't.

There you go use all this "logic" nonsense.

As it's said those who don't win on TUF do get a spot if they put on a hell of a show, and show that they can fight despite their loss. Pete Sell and Scott Smith two name two, who put on one of my favorite fights despite not winning the whole deal.
I'm hoping that J-Lau gets put on BJ Penn's team. That way he can eliminate Jens Pulver's fighters and mess with Jens' head.
Anybody have odds on J-Lau winning TUF?

I'd put him even with Diaz.

It's done what it was meant to do, apparently--we're already talking about the Jens vs. J-Lau showdown as if they were Tito and Ken. Is there even a feud there at all, aside from the expected "Hey, you beat me, can I have a rematch?"
