My dad turned 79 yesterday.

He's religious about his workout routines, has been working out >3-4 times a week for the last 60 or so years (talk about consistency). He has always found time to work out even though he worked full time all his life (still does), had a small farm to run and 3 kids to raise. He was never afraid to be a newb. He went from beginner to serious competitor in greco-roman, basketball, soccer and kayak racing. ALL our family vacations were about going somewhere and doing something insanely straneous. This became ingrained in me, I can't live without 3-4 workouts a week.

I'm sorry about the rant, not even sure this is the right forum, but did not want to put this on sociocide or loot-liquor-and-ladies......

This is my dad:

Kudos to your Dad, and even more Kudos to instilling it in you!

As a father myself, I know how hard that is to do!

While we're talking about dads, here's a couple links to the ultimate one. Feel the pain normally associated with not being your best, you selfish pricks.

LOL if this was in the comedy forum I would have repped you. SO HARD.

Anyways, yeah, your dad rocks and makes me feel like a fatass.

Geez, I'm just hoping I can keep from peeing my pants when I'm 79, let alone workout!

Kudos man, kudos!!!

My dad is similar. He is turning 65 this March, and he has always been active in running and lifting. For his age, he is massive. Now he suffers from back pain and tendonitis in his elbows, so he has to tweak his workouts a bit.

He went back to Nicaragua and he lives in a small town that does not has a gym, so he takes a bus to go to a nearby town that has one 3 or 4 times a week. The way he's always been was what pushed me off the couch and into the bench.

My dad is crazy. He's in his mid 50's, and just took a job working 12 hour graveyard shifts at a printing press. It's insanely hard work. He's nuts.

Wow, Tomas. I thought my dad was a tough old goat. At 79 your dad takes the cake. Bad pun intended.
