Crap. No one ever posted about meeting up tonight. Any of the LITDers come on down to the mat room at SBU again tonight. So far we have 4 or 5, but two of which I won't gain much from training with.

How did it go? Set one up for next week sometime.

I wish you would've called me earlier. Karate was crappy and I'll probably wind up just going there Friday's once I start at Campbells. Also would you guys be willing to use a space that has both a boxing ring and wrestling mats but you'd have to pay like $10 to use it?

I would but I wouldnt do it every week. For a once a month type thing, sure.

It would would be in Bayshore. I'm trying to convince my boxing coach, I find it weird to even type that because I haven't been there to train consistently since August, to allow open mats. I think it would be alot better because he has waivers to sign, round timers, a ring etc.

And the TD went good LI GUY. It was Me, James, this guy from the MMA club, Troi, Carl, and a friend of Carls. I worked alot of isolation boxing work, and it seemed to pay off when I boxed later. Got some alright footage on a camera phone. We also worked some drills shooting and takedown defense with Troi. Was pretty cool regardless.

Also it looks like Campbell's is out I just got an updated schedule today and well it sucks. Is the schedule on Vamos' page accurate?

Oh yeah, wed open mat will be replaced by western boxing. Its $10 a class, everything else is included. Plus there is open standup sparring on Sundays at 6PM (may change). Soon there will be another open standup sparring session added, once we get Sunday sorted out.

Do u need to be a contracted student to take the boxing, or could I just come on wednesdays and pay a fee?

I don't think you need to be a student. The Vamos' won't even be there, it's a different instructor who will only be teaching the boxing. Just call them up or I'll ask them on Saturday.

I just found out my regular gym has a boxing class! Kickass! I'm gonna check it out.
