Well, this is turning into a real goat-****. The more that is being said, the more he is screwing himself. Honestly, Lane, as a former student I would suggest that you have a heart to heart with him about his actions. He is running the risk of getting himself in trouble with the law the way he's going.

Muq, Kendall doesn't like me, and that's putting it mildly. I doubt he'd even let me get in the same room as him.

As for why I was kicked out, there were a number of reasons, but cross-training and posting on here were two of the biggest ones. I have never trained with another x-kan, nor even a teacher within the Bujinkan that Kendall didn't like. I was just unhappy with the level of physical exertion in my class (and I only went 2x a week), and wanted to get more in shape, so I started taking some FMA and grappling classes at another school. That proved to be too far away, and the cost of paying two separate amounts of tuition wasn't fun, but once I was kicked out, I got to train in judo at a local community college and muay thai/kali under a great coach, who is no longer in Austin.

Well, nothing good could come from that discussion then, Lane. :)

BTW, someone mentioned his rank was 4th dan, can you verify this? If so, someone should contact his shidoshi, since he would need to be teaching under the auspices of an actual instructor.

His shidoshi is Ed Sones I think.

This thread should go to Ed Sones then. As long as he is going to your instructor -- you should at least let his instructor know what is going on as well.

From what I have seen of the conversation posted (which I don't know to be complete) -- it does appear that talking to Kendall is like herding cats.

My .02.

Hedgy - unlikely you will get a match. Just have a standard reply setup regarding the MMA venue and just send it back every time you get another response. He seems intent on being a child... so the best course of action is to treat him as such -- just resend the same reply over and over and over until he quits with his assine replies... ;-)

Kendall will never agree to a MMA venue - just ain't going to happen. He's a ninjer, after all, not one of these silly sportive types. I predict a denouement similar to the Royce Gracie-Emin Boztepe fiasco years back.

Has Kendall actually told anybody what sort of match he's looking for?

huge WOW at all the veiled threats and suggestions of violence against hedge. Kelsoe seems to be blaming him personally for anything bad bullshido has ever said against the buj.

Honestly tho he seems to be implying that he wants a rematch between hedge and seth where nobody is there to defend hedge when all the ninjers jump on him when he is grappling seth.

Seriously scary tho.

Since Hedgehogey ignored my request for a synopsis and this thread is fucking ridiculous anyway, I just decided to move it.

If someone wants to write up a clinical synopsis to restart a good MABS thread on this subject, be my guest. Otherwise, please enjoy continuing onward with this wonderfully enlightening 'LOL! Ninjers!!!111!!!' thread in its new home at YMAS.

I'm guessing
1) One where he breaks into hedge's place at night and tries to murder hedge with a really crappy katana, cackling at how he's such a real warrior (<-- too real of a possibility for my tastes)
2) One where, when hedge takes it to the ground, he'll do a flying belly-flop to remove both hedge and his shameful student Seth from the equation - PERMANENTLY!
3) One where he can back out while mumbling about how he could mess up that silly sport fighter with his claws and teeth cuz he's a ninja and ninjas are like cats and it's not a cat if you take away its claws and why did the gubmint steah his teef? so you sport fighters better be sure glad that he didn't have to go all ***** on you... damn gubmint.. millenium hand and shrimp!

Yay, YMAS.

I didn't write it because it's still developing. Anyway, this is clearly a mega thread regardless.

No kidding. I stop paying attention to this thread and it's up to 800+ posts? Holy ****.

IMO, there is something potentially very good which can come out of this thread for MABS. It shouldn't be as difficult as it is to find it within this thread.

This was the PM I sent you on Wednesday. You did not respond at all (not even with what you just wrote above):

Do you think you could write up a synopsis of the salient points everyone has made within the thread thus far? I was thinking we could continue forward with a second thread and let this mega-thread roll down the list.

It doesn't have to be fancy or all that well written, just a list of bullet points for the points - perhaps as quotes from the various posters?

What do you think? Would you be able to tackle this?

If you had something in mind, why did you not respond? It shouldn't have come to me moving your thread, and I felt kind of bad about it. But, of the 800+ posts, maybe what - 15 or so were of significance (if that many)?

Regardless, your better half, Antifa, has just earlier agreed to step up and write something which will work in MABS:

The official forum for Bullshido. Serious discussion on McDojos, questionable Martial Artists, and relevant issues only. Help us fight fraud in the Martial Arts by contributing well-thought-out threads and ideas on the subject.

I'll get something written up tonite as far as a synopisis goes.

Tom,

I'm not his better half. I'm MUCH MUCH prettier than hedge.

So the conclusion at the moment is that Kelsoe is a coward.

He throws out a myriad of threats at Hedge, then demands a rematch.

Hedge agrees to a legal MMA match through a promoter.

Kelsoe pull his Japanophile too deadly for rules crap.

Kelsoe is aware that anything other than a sanctioned bout, or friendly sparring match is illegal after the debacle we linked from E-Budo.

Here are the facts:
Kelsoe made the challenge, then altered it to a premise that he knew full well was illegal and therefore could never take place.

Couldn't agree more. This guy is not even a godan allowing students that are not even shodans to teach classes (in drainage ditches) and then boast about these students abilities (and his own abilities) in a way that makes them sound awesome to battle.

Ridiculous.

Its guys like this that have slaughtered the bujinkan's image in so many ways...and just another reason why the BJK needs some form a regulation.
