I dont understand the logic behind hating Karate, how is learning to strike and block effectively a bad thing?
Obviously McDojos and point competition Karate arent going to be highly valued but both features exist in all arts and dismissing Karate as a valid Martial Art makes no sense to me.
Please enlighten me as to how and why Karate is useless.

Like anything... on it's own, karate is limited.
The backlash comes from practitioners of karate often held belief that they train in a style that is 100% effective in all situations.
Also, because karate is frequently used as a title for any punching/kicking art, there's an issue of it being really mass-market... diluted... mcdojo... etc etc.
because 90% of karate schools suck ballsacks.
which isnt too bad, 99% of kung fu ones do. i have a paper in statistics so trust me on these numbers.

LMAO yeah....but thats used more as an endurance test in my current dojo and very rarely at that.
Im well aware Karate only covers one of three areas in unarmed combat, not covering the clinch or groundwork. Im fortunate as my instructor is well rounded with 4th dan in Karate Blue belt in Bjj and he trains in various other arts. In my opinion starting with a striking art is going to be more useful than starting with Jujitsu, im planning on starting Judo soon so i'll have a ground game.
PS Thanks for the rapid response

What system do you actually drain in dude because you're saying Korean Karate and I think Tang Soo Do, which technically isn't karate and there are a lot more dissing of the Korean systems than Karate.

Well im pretty sure it isnt Tang Soo Do as I have never heared of it before now. I have been told my style is Korean karate but there is no Korean name for it as far as I know. This is a good point which I will put to my instructor.

The serious answer is that you should have looked around on the forums more before posting. The question you're asking has been asked a thousand times. But you can find the answer here:

:new_321:well great but what harm comes from asking direct and getting an immediate response?
UPDATE: Your link is about realistic training which applies to all MA's. Im asking specifically about Karate.

You waste bandwidth and time trying to get people to repeat themselves.

Whereas your posts are doing what exactly?
What do I have against Karate?
It's a martial art. I hate martial arts.
It's overly formal and stuck on tradition. Formality is creepy.
It has Kata. Kata sucks.
Most Karate schools are terrible.
And the straw that broke the camel's back:
