isn't that German Volume Training? Probably the Germans did then. Also, I've read that yu don't start out with 10x10, but work your way up to 10 sets. So your first workout of 3x10 would be fine. If I remeber correctly.

10 sets of 10 reps of the same exercise is how GVT is done I think.

With the same weight? Do you add weight after you get to 10x10 and start the cycle over?

Same weight for the whole duration.

20 to 30 second rest between sets. A minute between different excercises.

From memory, 3 Sets of 10 reps each set, 30 second rest between sets, a minute between body part.

1. Chest - Dumbell Press
2. Chest - Bench Press
3. Back - Wide grip pulldown
4. Shoulders - Arnold Presses
5. Squats
6. Lunges
7. Hamstring Curls
9. Bicep Curls
10. Skullcrushers
11. Crunches - 25 to 30 reps each set

Thank God this is only once a week. I've OD'd on Motrin.

What kind of results are you seeing from that workout?

Can't see that doing much for your strength, but should be awesome for conditioning.

That looks easier, ****!

But since we are only training lifting on one day, and the rest on take downs, standup, and grappling, it's understandable why he went with all body.

Bang!

You're doing that for MA? This program strikes me as a way to get all swole up, not to excel in athletics.

This program just strikes me. theres better way to improve your conditioning for MA

Lights Out

German Volumen Training is a program target more to hipertrophy, more than overall strenght or conditioning.

Also, as Black Pete can tell, it's a little bit tooling, generally it's advised to not do any other physical activity while in a GVT program.

Don't know about getting swollen up, but I'm sore as **** 48 hours later.

1 day is being set for lifting, the rest for grappling, wrestling, etc.

I'll give a full report after a month is done.

How long is a session taking you? Seems like it would be an ungodly long time in the gym. Especially if you are "grappling, wrestling, etc." after it.

Supposedly it takes muscles on average 3 days to recover from a work out and more time if it's a new program like this.

Good luck and be careful you don't overtrain.

It took approx 45 minutes to do the whole circuit. We didn't do anything else other than the 3x10.

I'm at 24 hours right now, and right smack at the peak of Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS). It took everything to get out of bed, I haven't worked out in a month and a half, just doing cardio, so this has been really bad.

Where are you in South Fla? The only place I remember your style being taught was up in the Lake Worth area.
