KTFO just opened up its trinng center in Long Island(by the Ronkonkoma railroad station actually) and I was wondering if anyone had checked it out or knows anything about it yet.
Who's teaching/how much.etc...
The website dosen't have much info yet.

As I said before the site dosen't have much info other than the location. The center is already open though and I was wondering if anyone knew anything else.

Not poking fun, just post a link next time.
Me on west coast, no can help.
From what I hear it's supposed to be good, this is from word of mouth by the way, from a guy that you(LI GUY 1) train with. What I'm interested in is the Panza school opening up in Dix Hills, it's supposed to have a Kioto brown belt and a Machado Brown belt, well this link should give a better idea than I could:

Anyway, even though I'm not very interested in watching MMA, I think it's cool that LI is going to have 2 more MMA teams.

I heard of that place from a friend. I was thinking of checking it out when it opens up. Thanks for posting the link.

Hey thanks alot for those links. I've been looking for a place to cross-train my standup but for the moment am in a bit of a time and financial situation. But once I get that under control I was considering going to Serra's affiliate out here at Longo's but those places look pretty good (at least as far as the sites make them look) and they're pretty close too.

I'm not quite sure how much I like this place having such emphasis on ranks to the point that he made a structure that goes beyond 10th degree black into "2nd 10th" I just can't imagine the need for it if he's truly teaching an MMA format.

hmm. i just read that. I'm not too interested in going through a belt system, I just wanted to do the kickboxing class. i'll have to see if i could just take the class without participating in their system.

this is semi on topic and semi off. I'm going to be a student in NYC in the greenwich village area and was wondering if there was a bjj school or an MMA style school anywhere that's metro accessible that won't cost me an arm or a leg. and yes... this is a ridiculous newb question, but all the places i've looked at are either too far away or ridiculously expensive.

Try college MMA/BJJ/Judo clubs, I believe NYU has a BJJ club. A member "theraydiator" has mentioned it.

Define arm and a leg? There's some awesome schools all around NYC, in fact I wish I lived a bit closer so I could train there every week. Try out http://www.roninathletics.com/ or if BJJ is more your style, the Renzo Gracie Academy is right in Manhatten a few blocks away from the village I believe.

Renzo is expensive though i thought. People still gotta pay rent in the city.

Ie, a hundred bucks a month or under... you know, enough money so I can still pay for groceries afterwards. I heard Renzo's is like 180 a month?
