hey you married guy, you smeaky little basterd finding us at the ufc show.... how is life after marrage?
Not much different, but now I get to pay less for taxes each year.
We'd been living together for 2 years before we went through with it. I'll never understand how people that have never lived together could get married and even last past moving in to their new place.
Anyway, going to try to make it to the November UFC show, you guys going?

Wanderer,Since they are down, you should tell them to upgrade to a more stable system!

we can start a post about it once it's up and i'll be in contact with admin to push mgueli to do something about it
Actually, I'm serious about hosting the forum for them if they don't want to deal with the hassle. I'd set it up independent of this forum if they wanted, since I'm in the process of upgrading this whole site right now anyway.
Run it by them. I'd put you as forum moderator over here if they go for it.
Win-win situation. They don't have to deal with the forums, and everyone gets to use the features of a modern, stable forum system.

Phrost, if I were in charge over there I would definently let you upgrade. The adcc has a good group of people that's why I like it but, other forums have so many features that ADCC is lacking it's sad....
This fourm is MUCH better from a technical standpoint.
Phrost has got my vote.

I actually liked the simplicity of the way the ADCC forum was layed ou. You could see all topics quickly --didn't have to jump around categories.
That's not hard to do, I'd just set up a single forum.
The reason we've got more forums here is because there's a greater scope of discussions on this site, and that's how we've got it organized so things run smoothly. Heck, we started out with 3 or 4 forums, and expanded to meet what the visitors want.
We get around 150,000 hits a day now, and do 3GB or more a day in traffic. I'm pretty sure that's around 10 times as much as the ADCC forum/site gets.
yes Stuy, I agree with that. But, I like the way this forum keeps track of the most recent threads you visited, the threads you started, the count of who looked at your thread as well as posted, man, this site kicks much tech weenie ass!
The discussions at ADCC seemed much livelier though.

You people make me sick. Endless posts on a message board.
3GB+/day in traffic! <img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle> Phrost, I bet you could save a bundle if you fully switched to using CSS . Just a suggestion...

Sorry, CSS == Cascading Style Sheets. I took a look at the html (it's a habit, I'm a geek) and saw some usage of inlined CSS code, but there were tons of font tags and also all the table cell attributes were repeated over and over.
If you used a separate linked CSS page, then it'd be cached so page refreshes and returning visitors don't need to reload all the page-formatting code.
From the forums, you might shrink your page sizes by 40%.
