95% of fights do NOT end up on the ground. Been in a bunch of fights and one ended up on the ground. Though I do believe a lot of fights can end up on the ground 95% is ridiculous. How would they get that statistic anyways?
Also... this thread is ancient...
that is what BJJers say... :new_black
arent you in the hall of shame??

Uh no I'm not in the hall of shame...
I thought it'd be pretty obvious that 95% of fights don't go to the ground.

I will admit a lot of fights go to the ground though.

Ive been doing BJJ for about 2 months, is this really the pinnacle of martial arts today??
Did Goju Ryu Karate for about 3 years, then I switched to Boxing. Stopped training for about 2 years and now I'm taking Judo. Did a little Shito Ryu over the summer just to see what it's like.... but it sucked. Planning on taking Kyokushin depending on my fall schedule.

TKD. And of them all, I'd say TKD is the most effective!
But really, I've trained in korea with the national team. They happen to be very good.
Wing Chun for about 4 years now.

Did someone say TKD was the most effective?
Is it just the TKD in my area that completely blows? I've never seen the Korean TKD teams, how are they different?
Do they throw Axe kicks all over the place and never put their legs down like the TKD people in my area?

TKD as a child
Wing Chun as a young teenager
Muay Thai since then.
I enjoyed them all at the time, and thought they were the most fun while I was doing them. I guess I took Muay Thai the most serious, and it has had the greatest impact on my life. I doubt this is the answer you were looking for when asking which is the "best", but it is how I judge an MA to be the best.
