Tired of checking for any new messages and finding 22 posts filled with some bullshit exchange between Peedee and whoever the jackass of the day is, or some 50-page duel consisting almost entirely of 2 people shooting points back and forth without listening to each other.
I'm sure plenty of people come here every day to bring us suggestions, potential frauds, or their stories about a McDojo, but get turned away by a bunch of fuckheads who bring their feuds over from some other ****** crap forum even worse than this one.
No disrespect to Phrost or Choke, I know you guys do what you can to make this work, but there should be some way to get rid of the obvious trash. Knifer was banned, which is good, but now there are dickheads like LUI KANG and marty_farty with absolutely nothing to contribute taking up space and wasting air.
Maybe we could do something like require full names in every sig like some other decent forums do, won't get rid of the hardcore assholes, but should keep away most of the keyboard warriors looking for anonymity.

I couldn't agree more. It makes the site look even more incompetent to have an off-topic discussion forum. I'm willing to bet that at least 60%, and probably more like 80%, of the discussions on the "McDojo" forum have nothing to do with anything but which of the troll club's members are on top(oxymoron).
Wholesale banning wouldn't hurt. No one really cares about the opinions of the people you'd be banning. The troll club are just a bunch of cheerleaders for the mixed martial artists, nothing more. Us traditionalists come on here without the need for a bunch of pimply faced 16 year olds with self control issues cheering us on. Can't the real mixed martial artists do the same?

That's no excuse for letting them run amock on your forum. I used to think that very same thing, my fellow admin. But sometimes you have to array yourself for battle and fight. You can't keep them out 24/7 but you can fix it so it isn't worth their while to post on your site by regulating the topics. That's what Mods are for, and you should have some policy on what messages stay and what messages get trashed and it really doesn't matter if a troll thinks you're not being fair. They thrive on being unfair all the time. They look for anything to create a stir, so who cares what they think?
Right now you seem to be playing it safe but my bet is one day you'll just get sick of being impartial while people who don't have anywhere close to the time and hard work you've invested in (A) this site and (B) the martial arts in general keep right on making it look bad and taking up space in your forum.
I've been down this road already, and as permissive as you want to be so no one attacks you, you have to take your own side. All complaining does is encourage them, and while in one hand you'll have trollers all over the place talking about how bad McDojo sucks, because you won't let them troll, in the other people will be thanking you, appreciative that you're at least trying to make this a time-worthy place to visit. When I knocked out the trollers on MW, for every troll who came here to McDojo or to adcc to bitch about me and what a "romo" I am, we got two e-mails from normal folks saying "well done", and in fact people were posting "well done" publicly.
If you truly value what you're trying to offer with this site you'll do something about it eventually. And I'm not talking about PeeDee and his comedy routine, people will be obnoxious no matter who get's banned, but when your board is filled with nothing but flaming and "Suck my dick", "No I'll make you tap and then you'll suck me", or "At least I get laid" (which is doubtless B.S.) that's when you should step in, and to hell with anyone who thinks you're trampling their freedom, when they are the ones abusing it. But that's just me.

Personally I don't mind when people flame each other in off topic, or in the cage, its when the other threads get screwed up that I feel the forum looks bad. For what its worth, I think the off topic section provides a needed outlet, but before someone gets sentenced to be banned for baad behavior they should be allowed to post but only under their real name and geographic location. That might cut down bad behavior.
