If you truly want this thread to end, how to do it should be blindingly obvious. Systema will not produce these clusterfucks you so desperately wish to stop until:

1. The elites of the style are competitive with the elites from other styles.
2. It shows a demonstrable increase in fighting skill for the average practitioner.
3. Less dorks are produced.


You claim Systema is great. Well, that's just fine and dandy. However, the onus is not on me to prove your belief as having validity. But, why you fail miserably at test #3 is you think you can prove its greatness with words. Newsflash: You can't.

Get out there and show people instead of blaming ones and zeros on the internet as the reason why more people don't stumble through your doorway. Thus far, Systema's attempts to do this have produced the videos and encounters of the type which started this thread.

... which brings us right back to the original criticism (and the question you avoided): Why bother? Thus far, the answers seem to center around "No no, it's not really like that, that clip was taken out of context/one small part of a whole/bad makeup and lighting/trolls, trolls, all of you!."

I wasn't the one who had a wedding to go to, although i remember one voicing that issue

I myself, decided not to spar for work purposes, as I had mentioned to goju while there, that my job as head of security, in a (semi) upscale restaurant and night club, my appearance to the public (familes, tourists, kids, etc) needs to be well kept, otherwise, i'd have to miss time off due to black eyes or whatever else that can be visible, so i wasnt about to risk losing $$$$ over a throwdown

as for the talk about the recent throwdown being a joke? I don't know who started saying that. I would never be derrogatory about it. Thats just not me. I was there, so I will show respect to the people that also attended

My main goal was to meet new people and check out what other styles had to offer. For example, Shovel, trains in catch-wrestling, which interests me a lot, but never knew a school exhisted in TO. Other than that, i was interested to get a reality check on my submissions, since my only other formal training was in wrestling, i needed to put the subs to the test against ppl i don't know....etc

I was trying not to get involved in this thread..until some wanker from somewhere in the US started making claims about a Throwdown in CANADA that he didn't attend, didn't know any of the said participants and, generally speaking, doesn't seem to know too goddamn much except how to talk in circles.

Alex didn't dominate anything..as I am sure he will admit, and neither did neomaoist or Hank or anybody else who was there. You need to stfu about events you are not part of .
Secondly, the video will NOT be posted because there was a prior agreement made between the owner of the facility and a few others in attendance that any videos shot would not be put up on line. So you can all forget about this video being the grand solution to your pathethic thread about whether systema is any good or not. Kungfools is nothing but an instigator and a keyboard warrior in the truest sense and I have no interest in helping him in his pathetic **** stirring. He does it well enough on his own.
Like I said before, if peopl want to know how the systema guys fared at the TD, READ THE THREAD. Everybody who was there (almost ) posted and it is obvious if you read the post from the one systema guy (neomaoist) you will see that he admits to having a tough time in his match with the short fist boxer from our club.
The match between Alex and Jamison was not as oe sided as the first one was, but he was still getting picked off with regularity and he got frustrated and tripped our fighter (which was not supposed to be allowed, because they were fighting on a concrete floor with carpet over it) . Then they got up, he was still getting nailed in the face over and over, so he rushed him and slammed him up against the wall. The fight was intense, and as shovel stated on the thread, it made the atmosphere a bit edgy because it seemed like things might degenerate into a brawl.
What seems funny to me is that we have some clown in Washington state arguing with a guy in Hawaii about Systema and the Sysytema guy tries to use events he had no part in to back up his claims. Stupid...
My own impression of Systema was as follows: Their stand up game was almost non- existent, they did not seem all that well versed at exchanging blows. I cannot comment on the ground game as I did not take part and wasn't really paying attention so I have nothing to say about it. As far as their conditioniing demonstration, it didn't make much of an impression on me. We spar bare knuckle at our club and do lots of body conditioning so it doesn't shock me to see people smacking each other bare knuckle in the chest.
I would also like to note that I spoke to Alex afterwards about the style and he seemed like a decent guy who trains hard. Neomaoist also seemd pretty cool and despite being outgunned in his match with Jameson, he took it like a man and didn't whine afterwards.
He also had the guts to step and start things off..which is a hell of a lot more than can be said for some of the dorks who are beating this thread to death. And I would invite whoever the idiot on UTUBE was who made derogatory comments to be a man and show his face at one instead of talking **** about them. If you want to say TD's are a joke after you have been to one, then so be it, but at least have the guts to show up and spar first.

So you are claiming the belts holding up pants is an demonstration of Systema? By that logic, are you suggesting most of the world which owns belts and uses them for their intended purpose is now practicing a form of Systema? Or, is it only the people who prefer camouflage?


Pedantic arguments because you do not want to admit that there is not adequate documentation of tests #1 and #2 only prove verification of #3 has a ways to go. None of these arguments would exist if you had adequate proof of RESULTS instead of more demonstrations of METHODS.


Frankly, I'm glad Systema works for you. But, if you want other people to respect it, the onus is on you to SHOW IT, not me to seek out "t3h r3al" Systema. Otherwise, you are talking from a position of FAITH. And, if you don't care about what others think, then it is silly to argue that everyone else has it all wrong and it's so misunderstood. Why you get so worked up when someone points that out is beyond ridiculous.
