Would you get a tattoo that says, "Bushido" in english on you? If not, you may want to rethink it.

The reason I advice against the tats is because I see too many times pple get COOL Japanese tats and don't really understnd what it means or the meaning behind the characters

You won't find a Japanese person tattooing the ten commandments on them (or BUSHIDO for that matter)

I once saw a ripped white biker dude sporting a tattoo that translated to "kung pao chicken".

that's a good point asia that's why i was asking on this board, im also going to make a trip to a japanese cultural centre to make sure i know what everything means. i was planning on getting this if i pass my blackbelt test in a month or so. it's just another way of commemorating the occasion. i also kind of wanted something to remind me of everything i learned in all the time i spent working for it

anyone have any other good ideas nothing to big?
