The fight choreography is pretty bad, but that makes it awesome. it looks more like a real fight.

Thats why I always like Sonny Chiba films. It was unrefined and more like real life, if you take to posing making weird sounds when you fight.

Isnt the weird noises and face contortionism a karate thing? You expel all the air out of your lungs, and then fill them til they hurt, and push all the air out again.

God I hate Bruce Lee, probably not so much because his films were all snore-fests compared to Jackie Chans Hong Kong stuff (name one Bruce Lee film that can hold a candle to Police Story, Project A, Drunken/Young Master etc.) but because of all those non martial arts people who all think he was the greatest fighter ever.

True, but video games created there own share of LARPers in the MA world (except with video game controlers instead of cardboard swords).

I'm not sure you can even begin to consider someone who plays Tekken to be a LARPer... I think I've only met 1 person who thought his Tekken skills transfered to real life.

Every now and then my buddies and I will attempt to recreate the takedowns and throws in Tekken. For whomever is wondering they ARE possible to do, but require two people who are extremely acrobatic and/or a trampoline.
