Bullshido is a name for a commercial website based around providing information for spectators and practitioners of submission wrestling and the Pride, UFC and K1 cage fighting franchises. It offers extensive commentary on sporting events such as the "Ultimate Fighting Challenge" franchise and many of its members are known to be enthusiastic supporters of Gracie Jiu Jitsu a style of grappling particularly suited to UFC. However, it states that it's primary objective is to "root out the bullshit in martial arts".

Stated vs Real Objectives of Bullshido.net
The site has appointed itself the internet guardian of "real martial arts". However, the basis on which this claim is made is a tiny fraction of the content of the site, and in all cases the involvement of bullshido.net in the uncovering of martial arts fraud and abuse has been grossly exagerated by the site administrators.

Exposing Ashida Kim
The most recent of the only four documented efforts made by bullshido to uncover a fraud. However, their claims gloss over the fact that more reputable sites such as "e-budo" and "martial arts planet" had already published this material a number of years beforehand.

Exposing David Bannon
Another of the four high profile investigations cited by bullshido is the campaign that bullshido claims led to the indictment of sex offender David Bannon. However, as a matter of record on their own forum they were challenged about this and the site administrators conceeded that:

"Therefore, Bullshido acknowledges 'The Charlotte Observer' conducted their investigation of David Bannon more than year prior to Bullshido beginning their investigative research and that TCO were the first and only media outlet to have contacted Interpol regarding the matter at the time? It seems to be, Bullshido is taking an awful lot of credit for an investigation begun by some other organization." Link

Bullshido Nutriders
Bullshido.net is operated on the basis of a very lightly moderated forum where profanity and leet make up a large part of the posts and abusiveness between posters is a normal part of exchange on practically every topic. The forum targets a user base with a strong following amongst teenage North American UFC franchise cage fighting fans. Acceptance is guaranteed for anyone who advocates Brazilian Jiujitsu and Muay Thai and is particularly biased toward the view that martial artists must train in both of these systems that make up the most popular mix of fighting styles amongst the fighters in [UFC]. This group refer to themselves and are referred to by others as nutriders, and with the encouragement of bullshido administrators "Phrost" and "Evil Asia" make a pastime out of visiting other martial arts forums on the Internet to [troll] their forums with posts in favour of cage fighting and condemming martial arts styles that they deem to be "unworthy". Typically they then return to bullshido to boast of their achievements and claim additional credibility if they have been banned by the forum they have just vandalised.

CLEARLY the 'link' they give to Phrost and Asia is just a crime.

Neither e-budo nor MAP had revealed Mr. Radford Davis's true name with proof that he was Ashida Kim. They also did not expose his black belt selling activities.

First David Bannon is not a sex offender. He has never been charged or convicted of a sexual crime such as rape. Whoever posted that information is looking at the possibility of a defamation action by Mr. Bannon if their identity can be established.

Secondly it looks like the writer is quoting Kungfools. in an argument I had with Mr. Fools. The Charlotteville Observer wrote two articles on Mr. Bannon. The first recounted the facts that Mr. Bannon told the reporter working on the story. In the second article they printed Interpol's denial and Mr. Bannon's reply which said that of course they would deny his existance. They DID NOT try to resolve whether Interpol or Bannon was telling the truth! Later in an article by Creative Loafing AFTER Interpol's denying, the Charlotteville Observer reporter indicated that she still believed Mr. Bannon's story.

Bullshido can be criticized for many things but if one is doing a hatchet job you should at least get your facts straight.

I doubt KickChick or anyone else cares enough to make a wikipedia article on it, or even follows what happens here enough. They might be pissed about the video thread, but they'd have to spend some time reading up on the Bannon and Ashida Kim stuff. My money is on Andy. And remember, I'm out of a job soon, so it's not much money. :(

Normally Andy puts a bit more effort into his posts, so it looks like someone with less competence then he's shown in the past.
