Phrost, all you had to do was ask, sweetums, and here it is- my original edit- which you partially kept, by the way.

"To be official, Throwdowns must be approved by the site admin team. The tapes are then reviewed by the owner to assure that they can qualify as becoming an official Throwdown video. A series of videos has been refused entry into the official Throwdown category because they do not qualify according to the administration. "

The other stuff, sorry- I don't know anything about it. Though I can see why the majority is being ditched.

Won't get you banned from MAP for posting on Bullshido?

Why was yours the only IP logged changing the Wiki?

Awesome. Respect for stepping into the line of fire.

Most of that is true, because we're still working out the details with regards to what is and what is not a Throwdown. Just because two or more people who register a free account here get together, doesn't mean it's representative of the site.

That's the reason for the "videos being refused". So the quoted statement is somewhat misleading as it does not specify this.

Andy Murray was too, and I believe "Bil Gee" as well though I'm not sure.

Ahhh. Andy Murray makes more sense then wrydolphin.

As I understand it (and I could be wrong since I don't really use wikipedia) if you don't create an account with them you can still edit but it shows your IP. If you have a Wikipedia account you can hide your IP. So someone else who is a member of wikipedia could have done it without their ip showing. Correct me if I'm wrong though. As I said, I'm far from a Wikipedia expert.

Bil Gee, huh. Thought as much. Little bitch never did get round to defending his position.

But then, the Maginot Line had a better chance of being defended. At least it had concrete foundations.

There is no, and I want to be emphatic on this, NO policy stated or unstated which states that anyone posting on Bullshido will automatically be banned at MAP.

Phrost- sorry for the confusion about the Throwdowns- reading your posts led me to interprete them to have had a few videos tossed due to not meeting what ever standards you want to hold for them. As it is, I am happy with the modified edit.

And if I wanted to hide my ip, I would have signed up with them. I never hide what I am doing or its not worth doing.

Never accused you of hiding anything at all. Just trying to get to the bottom of this. You have to admit there are a few individuals over at MAP on the Supporting Members forums who are trying to rally support for a wikipedia edit war though. I've seen the threads, despite having my account and/or IP address throttled.

I don't expect you to know much about this though. I just wish people would stop being disingenuous about how users are being banned and/or temp-banned/"sin binned" (whatever).

If you're banning people for disrupting discussion by disagreeing with the status quo then own up to it. If you're not, then explain the bannings of people like groundcontrolba.

I don't think that's even remotely unreasonable to ask.

cut the bullshit wry, we all know that isnt true. it might not be stated but i have seen enough people banned simply because they are dual members (i even had a bunch of those retarded ninjers on my case simply because i also post at bullshido)

Wolf
5/16/2006 5:35pm,
I won't lie, because of recent events between the two sites we have monitored dual members a bit, but haven't banned them because of it. We still have a number of dual members that haven't been banned (and i'm not just talking about the MAP staff that has dual accounts).

Oh, and Mr. Jones, just a note. There's no way you can know who banned you because it doesn't tell you who banned you. Also, the TM that deleted your post couldn't have banned you because TM's don't have that power.

you silly goose :eusa_thin

If it's unstated then , by default it will not "state" anything ... no matter what tense you use ..

All I can do is tell you what I do and what I have seen.

I have seen no one ousted because they were BS members or because they posted here. I do not set up bins for people who disagree with me. Believe what you want, Lord knows I can't stop you. I can only go with the evidence I have seen personally on this one.

And as far as the members, I doubt any site on the net can claim high maturity levels for all members. We all have that to deal with.

Ikken, I'm sorry you get upset and left, for whatever the reason. But allowing that to color your view, well- again, its not as though I can say or do anything to change your mind. But I can say that I would not have stuck with a website if I saw that type of behavior from the admin, much less accepted a position as a mod on the team.

No, he was binned- I not A.

Then he chose not to come back when the bin was up.

Behavior like .. instead having an open dialog about Throwdowns you try to edit articles on Wikipedia about the topic ... I can see how other unethical behaviors would make you queezy . Where exactly is the line drawn that you feel dirty about such things ?
