Hi guys, what are the best NHB events you've ever seen? I'm looking to get hold of some of the very best Prides, Bushidos and UFCs. So which ones should I go for? I quite like good technical ground displays.

Cheers

Pride Bushido 9: The tournament is the greatest MMA even of all time. It literally had almost 4 hours of excellent fights.

NHB = No Holds Barred, which disqualifies Pride, Bushido, and most UFCs from being on your list.

But to answer your question, UFCs 1-6 are both exciting and hilarious. Also I heard "A Night of Diamonds" was really good but hard to come by.

OK, MMA then. I somewhat dislike the early UFCs.

I know you said "event" but I am posting anyways...

The best MMA highlight ever.

Fight selection is amazing, the music selection is also amazing. But the very best part of the highlight is the music timing.

Take special note of the song selection and timing of the Fedor/Fujita fight.

music selection is also amazing.

Eaten any babies lately?

Edit: I think UFC 52 is an above-average event.

Get Pride 10, that's an absolute classic.

I'm partial to PRide's 2004 and 5 New Years shows, too. They were fantastic.

Bushido - The Tournament was an absolutely fantastic event, although I don't know if it's out yet.

If you use bit-torrent you might be able to find some of them around the interweb. Of course I'm not recommending downloading illegal material. Just the free-to-air broadcasts...

You're in the UK right? Amazon.co.uk has a lot of prides for not too much cash. Quite old ones though...

I am a huge fan of Pride's 2004 NYE show as well.

And the music selection for that highlight video was horrid, but the video itself was pretty good.

While you might not be a fan of the songs themselves, you can't argue that each song doesnt match the pace of the fight it was selected for, as well as good timing of the musical highs and lows in correlation to action in the fight.

A good song + a good fight isnt all it takes to make a good highlight.

Oh I agree that the video was extremely well-made, I just would not personally call the music "amazing." The timing was good, but that was not what my complaint centered around.

Because they have a separate DVD "special edition" of it all together...and I believe it was "return of the warriors" or something because it had Shamrock back and Kerr back...

Really really decent card, you should check it out...
