Alright, first off, this isn't actually my first post, I lost my password a few site upgrades ago and just kinda been lurking ever since, so spare me the noob comments.
Anyway, this past weekend in Houston, the SR natioanl tournement and pan-am trials were held. I competed at 66kg and placed 5th, earning myself a spot on the U.S. top ten ranking for my weight class. Hopefully I'll be able to upload my actual match clips, but in the the mean time heres some of the best of's from this year, in particular check out Ryan Reser (TEXAS PRIDE!) the u.s.'s top male athlete.

If you PM the mods, they'll take care of it for you. It's generally frowned upon to have two accounts.

That was nice.
Is that Te Guruma? I love that throw. Can't do it worth a damn, but I love seeing it.
Did he overthrow that guy, or did he slam him so hard he bounced onto his front.
It's hard to tell.

Did anyone else hear that crunching sound?
How the hell do you train away your survival reflexes enough to turn away from that kind of throw?!!
It's in the third form. If you can grasp the principles that is.
on that, he may have over roatated slightly so when he did hit the bounce took him in the direction he was already trying to spin out in (uki) but I'm fairly certain they awarded him the point.
His finals match, which lasted about as long as that clip, same move and, in bad form, the ref awarded the throw before they hit the ground, it was kinda funny though.
For those that know, if i can get my match clips onto my hard drive, should it be pretty easy to put em up then?

It's hard to tell.Man, I can't tell what the **** happened there. The whole thing goes soo fast, but it looks that he landed on his front. That is, he didn't bounced off. Looks like a kata guruma, BUT, in the flurry, either Reser lifted his opponent with the opponent's back starting to face towards him (or the opponent was trying to spin out and ended up the way he did... OUCH!!!) :icon_conf
How the hell do you train away your survival reflexes enough to turn away from that kind of throw?!! Hehehe, judo is teh d31dl3y!!!! The always wise Kano in his youth specifically devised this throw (after devouring lots of wrestling and sumo reading material) to throw a much larger opponent.
Imagine that good **** on pavement. :dead: Not bad for the sport of the "gentle way"... gentle way my ass :viking:

The throw is te guruma, but I call it The Rollercoaster because that's the feeling it gives me when I'm uke.
