Do not post in this thread unless you are Omega. This is for fight results only...discuss the fights when the event is complete.

FYI: Main Events fights will be the last on the card.

Ortiz fought Griffin, not Bonnar.

Those last 20 seconds of Arlovski v Sylvia were pretty good.
Tito v Griffin decision was pretty retarded. Did Tito gas or was he just that out of shape?

Calling Frank Mir out was a dumbass thing to do. Wow, he beat you the first time and he's coming off losing a fight and an accident - You're going to settle things now! Witha banged up opponent. He needs to fight Monson, have a rubber match with Arlovski , and regardless if he's still the champion after that, take on Mir.

As ever, Karo is the man. He should be top-seeded by now. I just don't think the UFC likes him.
Monson did well, but nothing too exciting here.
Same with Sherk.
Sweet triangle by Tanner.
I would have given it to Griffin over Ortiz.
Big upset for Arlovsky. Glad I didn't bet on this one.

Griffin vs Ortiz was BS.

With that said, did it look to anyone else like Arlovski was still going and trying to defend?

he was defending, but not that well, I think that ref stoppage(?) was correct

I think there's a good chance that Arlovski could have defended, but the ref still made the proper decision.

Putting your hand up on one side of your face is not a sufficient defense in that position, that's just instinct. He was layed out prone and making no attempts to get to his knees or turtle.

I was hoping Tim would win, I'm a huge fan of his. He's been through some rough **** in his life and it's good to see him at the top again.

I gave the decision to Griffin too. I was surprised when Tito won. I also think Cecil Peoples needs to be hung by his testicles.

I think Tito's lackluster performance in the later rounds was due to his knee injury. It would suck if it was a serious injury, and put the fight between him and Shamrock off for 6 or 7 months.

I was praying Forrest would win, but I had it 29-28 Ortiz. Furthermore, I don't think that last takedown was the deciding factor. I still gave him the edge by virtue of the strikes he was landing in round 3. I may feel differently once I see it again.

At first, I was bitching alot about the Andrei stoppage. But really, there was no attempt at an intelligent defense, and letting the fight go on would have resulted Andrei getting hurt. If Herb Dean hadn't stopped it when he did, he would have stopped it three seconds later.

That said, did anyone think Sylvia looked quicker than usual? I always knew people didn't give him enough credit, I just didn't know I was one of them.

Tanner ran a ground clinic. He met and exceeded my expectations handily.

Parysian hadn't finished a fight in 2 1/2 years, who knew he was still capable of it? Don't get me wrong, I knew he'd win...just by Decision.

Cruz vs. Monson: Went exactly as I expected, I just thought a little more of it would be on the ground.

Sherk vs. Diaz: Ditto.

My biggest question is Tito being gased or Forrest Griffen getting gaining steam later in the fight?

If it was a knee injury or any injury that affected Tito then age may be affecting him. He acts like he is ten years younger in and out of the ring, and his body might not be as accepting as it once was.

Tired or injury, it would have been nice to see two more rounds or better yet a rematch!

I see another Tito/Griffen fight and another AA/Sylvia fight in the near future of the UFC. It will probably be some really promoted fight card with some kind of revenge title.
