I wonder if they are counting unsanctioned matches and exhibitions? Or maybe bar fights? There's also the possibility they spotted him 36 wins for taking on Hurricane Katrina and winning.
oooh /cringe/ too soon for Katrina jokes?

After this 3rd loss in a row, Ken's team must've totally written him off by now. They already started doubting him in the first episode and it's just gone faaar worse.
I was f*ucking shocked to see them training in the back yard when their world class facility was just a few miles away. Actually, I respected them for not taking the opportunity to be lazy.

Bingo. He strikes me as the kind of fighters who won in 40 fights against 40 nobodies, without bothering with sanctioning.
That fight was HORRID!!!!
Kristian gassed quickly and his heart was ripped out of his chest. Hell even my wife, a non MMA fan, said he looks like he doesn't want to fight and just get out.
I don't know WTF is up with Ken. As a old school Ken fan I went into this with hopes of seeing a old timer in action. This may be what it took to revitalize him. I was ready to hate Tito and revel in the fact that everyone will see him as a dick and Ken getting some respect again. All those ideas have crashed and burned.
Ken is coming off as a dick. Tito cool as hell. Tito is coaching building a team (even with the jealous fucktard) and Ken is turning his team against him.

Actually, I respected them for not taking the opportunity to be lazy.Aha, aha!!! That's exactly what I felt when I saw the guys kicking trees and jumping bushes. I really feel sorry for them. It must suck balls to know there is an fucking awesome gym and a golden opportunity in front of them, and yet their quote-and-quote coach tells them to watch an old UFC replay.
There is no rationale to that except that 1)Ken doesn't give a rat ass about the guys, or 2)He is in la-la-land in a permanent state of delusion, or 3)He is making them pay for complaining about how harsh he was in the 2nd episode.
I've come to the conclusion the truth lies more or less between the following statements:
1- Ken is a dinosaur... no, wait... a trilobite.
2- His training methods predate the pre-cambrian explosion.
3- He cares more about gettting back to Tito than anything else.
4- He thinks GnP is simply using brute force to take someone to the ground and pound; all other skills are irrelevant.
5- He is a Jedi who believes in the Force, or he thinks Chi is real - that is, all that it takes to win is heart and guts. (That's basically the message he conveyed to the guys.)
6- He's telling his guys to trust him, just like Custer told the 7th Cavalry.
Now I'm beginning to understand why Tito laughs at him. For an experienced man his age, Ken has an attitude problem, he loses sights of what's important, he is inflexible and too proud to realize he is throwing away his reputation as a person, a fighter and coach on cable TV.
He suffers from a Captain Ahab complex, with Mobby Dick being a mix of dreams of Tito combined with images of Sinatra singing "My Way". I tell you, he is the 2nd Hindenburg... the Hindenburg I tell ya!!!!

I never really liked either of them but from what they are showing on TUF3 I actually like Tito as a coach.
Ken... what can I say that his team hasn't already said.
He is sad and should fade away.

Not making excuses for Ken but in season two they did some creative editing to make Hughes look like a dick.
They made it seem like last week Ken ditches them for a schuled practice which wasn't the case. So it could be the editing
Or maybe he's just a nut.

Or maybe he's just a nut.Maybe there is editing, but that doesn't explain why he sat scratching his nuts watching a UFC re-run instead of doing something with the guys.
If he wanted them to watch a DVD, at least he could have gotten a grappling instructional one IMO for God's sake. :tard:
*** edit ***
speaking of the 2nd season, I think it's out on DVD... I think I know what I'm going to rent on BlockBusters for this weekend :P

I'm willing to bet ken feels 'disrespected' by his fighters and now doesn't really want anything to do with them. I mean why else would you sit so far away from the cage when your fighter is fighting. Wouldn't you want to be as close as possible so you could effectivly shout instructions and corner your guy?
I want my coach at least standing up offering valid advice instead of sitting on his ass saying things like "ground and pound him now" or "dont let him take you down" and other obvious things. Hell Ken's fighters were offering better advice then ken was durring the last fight. I think they should ignore him and just get a cab to the training facility.

I think the best part of that fight was Bisping smacking Kristian around from the bottom of the guard. That's teh re4l GnP.

I was really surprised by his jumping jab technique, where he'd fly in two feet to throw a jab and then hop out.
Oh, and I LOVED IT when Michael said,
"I've always wanted to do this," and jumped up on the cage wall and posed.
Because the Cage Rage wall is too high.

Kristian was marked from the first day, but I can't help but feel maybe with Tito in his corner he would have stood a chance of making the semis. Oddly Ken was right about something- Kristian was beaten before he got in the octogon. What Ken doesn't seem to realise the huge doubt in Kristian's mind was in his training. And that training is going to ruin his coaching rep forever unless he pulls something out the bag. The only thing I can think about his gameplan is he might be letting the weak fall thru competition before really working on those that remain. Risky and subtle...maybe not then.
Pointy, you saw TUF yesterday- how did you swing that? I only just managed to get in and catch tonight's repeat after a few jars in the local- spill your secret!

I couldn't possibly (http://azureus.sourceforge.net) do any such thing (http://www.torrentspy.com/).

Can I get some more Bisping love on here please?
The man is a fucking animal. I've seen him kick arse in the UK events and he completely bitchslapped whatsisname in that fight.
I admit he may be arrogant but he's funny as ****, and I love the accent.. makes me homesick for the UK.
However he can back his **** up. If I could I'd put money on him winning, for sure. If I recall correctly, like it said in the episode, he really is one of the best competing in Europe, and certainly blazes through any of the UK competition. It's almost a mismatch...
I laughed a lot when he said "rolling around in a field smoking dope" was more like kristian's "cup of tea."
Classic.
And Ken's coaching is terrible, but why did the whole time act like wimps when he said 'does anyone got a problem with the way we are doing things here man gentlemen dude huh?"
The all went 'no. nope. everythins a-ok. uh huh.'
They should fucking tell Ken they want to do some real training rather than not tell him anything and then bitch about it when they get home.

He reminds me of every brickie I ever worked it...except he is acutally healthier than me. I think Tito's special friend will end up taking him tho. The amount of one2one he is getting, with a 5 time champ...can't beat that ****. Still, it'd be nice to have a UK face in the UFC- if only to increase the fan base of martial arts competitions over here. Muay Thai keeps getting bigger and bigger but I'd like to see submission grappling on tv too.
