My posts on Aikiweb an Aikido forum got me banned from my dojo. They said I was being disrespectfull to other members on Aikiweb and it gave them a bad image. I basically didn’t buy the Aikido bullshit about chi, not engaging an opponent, and the Japanese being the greatest human beings on earth.
I talked about other styles and people who practiced these styles got pissed off. One of the things that surprised me the most about Aikiweb was that I talked **** about Steven Segall and they were all surprised someone on there would talk **** about him.

I was with them for 4 months. When I first joined I had to pay a 3 month contract which was $285. I paid $95 a month for six hours a week. The organization I was with was called the Jiyushinkai. It’s a Tomiki based style of Aikido so they had katas and did randori. But they didn’t encourage tournaments which the Tomiki style is nortorious for some reason which bugged me. This is the dojo's website http://www.jitakyoei.com/
The head of the Jiyushinkai is named Chuck Clark. Heres a picture of him.

Heres my two former instructors. David Bedard and Will Schutt.

It started when I got an email saying to call Will. I called him and he started going on about the Aikiweb like I was preoccupied with destroying a website if that’s even possible. “One of the words I remember was we’ll talk more about this Sunday.”

When I got there they started going on about the Aikiweb again and I tried to explain to them it’s just a website. When I did that they started to talk about someone who could come to the dojo and start some mess. Now that scared me. Not someone coming to the dojo but these 4th dans in a martial art worried about getting into a fight. I thought this can’t be normal. They also said I was very disrespectful to the Head Instructor who I think they treat like a God. I repeatedly asked them what exactly did I say to him on the forums and they never told me. They said I have to write four apology letters. One to the instructors, one to Chuck Clark, one to Nick Chamberlain and one to Aikiweb. I went home and never come back to the dojo because I thought the whole thing was bullshit. I half did the apology letters to the instructors. They said the apology letters were done wrong so I just gave up and said this is a waste of time anyway.

Does anyone know any good schools in the Dallas area?

Go to Google and search for

"Dallas BJJ" or "Dallas Boxing" maybe "Dallas Muay Thai" ....

There have to be DogBrothers in Dallas ....

If nothing else I know there is a Group of Whip Boxers down there somewhere

Good luck on your Martial Journey .

A different style is fine. I hope I explained everything clearly.

Sounds pretty expensive for crappy instrcution.

You´ll do better without them.

Why would you even write the apology letters? Doesn't matter if you did it half-assed, have you no pride?

Apology letters I'd just write '**** you' and hand that to them. They think they're so high and mighty.

I think you'll look back on this in a couple of years and think it was one of the best things that happened to you. Good luck in whatever you choose to do next.

Man, that is bullshit. **** that crap!!!! Plus you were paying a bit too much if you ask me. And what on Earth do these guys think to ask you for a letter of apology to begin with? These dudes have cojones the size of papayas to tell you the apology letter was wrongly written ... which I find amusing since their cojones shrinked to the size of pennies at the prospect of having somebody going to the dojo to start trouble... think about that.

Check out http://www.dallasjudo.com... not bad at $65 a month...plus it's judo :eusa_clap

According to their schedule, they even have BJJ. Check it out as it looks like a decent place.

Good luck!!!

Clearly your instructors have lost touch with reality if they expect you to cow-tow for just posting your musings and what'not.I mean who even take's Steven Segal seriously anymore?

There is no Kyokushin school in Texas. However here is an Enshin website that I hope you find interesting.

This is what he wrote.

Hi all,

I have been off the forum for awhile due to work and generally did not post much when I was active. I started practicing Aikido in Dallas TX in 1990 as a member of the Fugakukai. Around 1992 I Joined the Jiyushinkai and have been a member in good standing ever since. I have been actively practicing in the only Jiyushinkai dojo in Dallas since 1996.

The reason I am posting this today is because we have recently found out that James Smith has been practicing with us in Dallas. "James" (I am not sure it would be appropriate for me to post his real name) did practice with us for around four months using his real name. The three instructors here did not know he was posting on the web until we received an email inquiring about him. On the mat "James" was very quiet only asking questions from time to time. Once we were aware of the situation we were able to identify who James Smith really was. We have talked with "James" and explained to him that his behavior was not appropriate and disrespectful to many people. "James" was a member of our dojo but not a member of Jiyushinkai. We asked "James" to write an apology and tell everyone who he really is but he has chosen not to. Due to his refusal to take responsibility for what he has done we have asked "James" to leave our dojo at this time. I would like to make it clear that "James" does not represent our dojo or Jiyushinkai in anyway.

Sincerely,

David Bedard

Go take something that works and remember them fondly with a girlish giggle a couple months later when you already have enough live experience with non-theorhetical techniques to pummel your old associates into oblivion.

If this sort of thing gets you kicked out of the dojo I don't think these were the kind of people you want to be learning from anyway.

Wow that pisses me off. Asshats like that (the fat guy in the picture) are responsible for making Aikido suck so much.

God, now I've got this mental image of three men in hakamas saying

"DID YOU HEAR?"

"THE INTERNET'S OUT TO GET US!"

Cartoon sweat droplets fly from their heads.

"THE INTERNET??"

"YES, THE INTERNET!"

"SOMEONE SHOULD WRITE A LETTER OF APOLOGY TO THE INTERNET!"

And then a fast-motion, Benny Hill-inspired chase breaks out as the Aikido instructors haul ass from any semblance of dignity they may have had remaining.
