Martial arts expert dies singing karaoke

Hanoi - A martial arts teacher died from head injuries after being electrocuted while singing karaoke in southern Vietnam, local police said on Friday. Tran Quoc Du, 23, was celebrating international workers day on Thursday by singing karaoke with his family at his home in Binh Thuan province, said Mai Dinh Tam, the police chief of Tanh Linh district.

The man was electrocuted the moment he picked up the microphone, Tam said from the province 150km east of Ho Chi Minh City. "He did not die from the electric shock but from brain damage," the police chief said.

"When he fell, his head hit the wooden bed and his brain was damaged. He died instantly."

The victim was a third-level Tae Kwon Do martial arts trainer, one of the best in the district club, the police officer said. - Sapa-DPA

Nope, just a musician. He got fried because of, I believe, a bad pick up in his guitar combined with himm coming in contact with the mic. Something like that.

That's unfortunate to lose a musical talent, they usually contribute something worthwhile to the world through their music.

Actually, there's a number of famous acts that ended that way, but that's the only one I can remember right off. Having been shocked by bad equipment, I can tell you that, if it were raining or something, that would mess someone up badly.

Well, at least those guys never torched a joint killing scores of people as the band Great White had.

The guy is dead, I don't see anything funny about it.
