Martial Arts Instructor Pleads Guilty to Sex Assault Charges

A Cache County man who professed to teach moral values, through martial arts has pleaded guilty to sex charges.

David Merrell of Benson, Utah originally, faced 45- felony charges stemming from sexual- assaults, against 4- female teenagers who took swordsmanship classes from him.

But a plea deal reduced the charges to 4-counts of sexual assault. Merrell will be sentenced in June. Investigators, are trying to determine if there are other victims.
