Wonder if he hurt his hand doing that.
No one at the moment can beat the monster known as Fedor.
I don't think so, Wanderlei to me is too wild and I think he lacks the extreme technical skill that Fedor seems to possess.
Just started thinking of something, anyone else find it interesting that Fedor has some fat on his gut?
Greetings.
More expected than interesting, IMO. Padding for a fighter > being a pretty boy trying to seduce teeny boppers with a six pack.

W...WHAT?! :gaygay: Oh...oh, you mean in order to be an effective fighter. Nevermind.
I was just thinking recently about how physically unimposing he is. A little beer-belly, always has that look on his face like the kid from Bad Santa, pretty small compared to alot of heavyweights.... Of course, I didn't notice any of this the first time I saw him, because my first impression of him was his systematic dismantling of Nogueira. All I noticed at the time was that he was the best Ground 'n' Pounder I'd ever seen.
I guarantee if you bumped into him you wouldn't think he was unimposing. He's only chubby because as a heavyweight, he doesn't have to be too trim in order to make weight. Plus, extra weight, as long as it doesn't affect your conditioning, is an asset in any fight.
That is exactly what I was getting at. Isn't it strange that the most dominant heavyweight is only 6' and has fat on him?
Anyone think the fat actually contributes to his stamina and endurance, allowing him a reserve that other fighters don't really have?
Well seeing how fast he recovered from being suplexed on his neck by Randleman, i'd say the fat assists his strength and helps minimize damage..
But thats just me.

No, that's nonsense. Fat can't be metabolised at anything remotely approaching the speed that would require.
What certainly does act as an advantage is more weight to hold people down with, though the disadvantage of the effect on your endurance may or may not outweigh it.

I guess it's a little ironic, perhaps funny, but I dunno 'bout "strange."
Here's what I DO think is strange:

You cut your weight to fight in the lowest weight class possible, and a six pack is a result of this weight loss, it has nothing to do with appearances.
I remain unconvinced that Fedor can be knocked out by anything smaller than a Mack Truck, however.
Fujita had him rocked. It was a lucky punch, but someone like Hunt or Arlovski could knock him out. Not likely, but possible.
Well seeing how fast he recovered from being suplexed on his neck by Randleman, i'd say the fat assists his strength and helps minimize damage..

Yeah, it's all the fat in his neck that allowed him to survive that. Not luck and natural toughness.
Now I want to see Fedor survive a powerbomb from Rampage.
Lets see him put that in his pip and smoke it.
um did you see the slam he got from randleman, that **** was nastier than any powerbomb rampage can pull out
