The rash of martial-arts movies has prompted WB to concoct a weekly series. "Black Slash" at 9 Sunday stars Russell Wong as a police officer who is framed and sent to jail, then opens a martial-arts school in San Francisco. He rights wrongs while trying to win his daughter back. Toss in one wise old counselor who throws some punches of his own for good measure.
The series offers an action-packed fight about every 10 minutes, with a lot of personal crises in between. This hourlong show should hook any 8-year-old boy.
