Bad attitude IMHO.
I remember myself at 16. No way in hell would that little fucker deserve anything but a dose of humble pie.
You can tap some blues, and can 'hang' with a purple or two? People that say that often make it out of a couple of rolls without being tapped and claim this sort of victory. That isn't hanging. That is surviving.
Personally, I wouldn't give a blue to a 16 year old unless they were EXTREMELY talented AND had the right attitude. Putting on a white belt isn't going to be the right move either. The right move is to man the **** up and talk to your instructor face to face about what HE THINKS you need to do to earn that belt, not come on a message board and cry. More than likely though you are afraid of what he will say, and what you already know.
