At the end of the day, which weapon do you like to train with the most. Staff? Sword? Three-piece-rod?

The singlestick--a 3-foot (give or take) ash dowel fitted with a hardened leather basket-hilt. It was essentially a "bokken" for the Anglo-Scottish basket-hilted broadsword & backsword, and was later used as a training tool for other cut-and-thrust swords (various navies, for example, used it for cutlass practice).

The staff is fun to play around with, and will take out most other hand weapons 8 or 9 times out of 10 (exceptions to this would be any light-bladed polearms, like the simple spear or the "Welsh hook"--aka forest bill--mentioned by the Elizabethan swordsman, George Silver).

I used to have a number of swords. Got rid of them when I grew up and learned that stainless steel doesn't make good swords. All I have now is a hardwood bokken and a compound bow.
