Uncooked Fights web site. (http://www.uncookedfights.com/index.html)

Created by Mike Dillon with some help from others in the area (including my own coach and a registered fighter there, Doug Stokes), Uncooked Productions is getting ready for a big amatuer kickboxing event July 30 at the Tulsa convention center.

Woo hoo

Doug can't fight, the dr. didn't clear him- apparently his shoulder and ankle need some work. However Chris "Irish" Flowers has a confirmed fight against a guy named Dino- everyone of these guys has a pic and profile up in the "fighters" section of the web site. I'll be cornering for Chris, and hopefully Mark (not yet listed there) assuming he gets an opponent. Additionally, a good friend from TKD, a 2nd- or is it 3rd- degree black belt may be fighting an MMA bought within this organization (yes, he can fight).

Doug and Mike have been shopping the event out to local businesses for sponsorship, hopefully that will work out. As it stands it's going to be a few hours long, live bands, vendor booths, martial arts demonstrations by more traditional places (board breaking, forms, self defense demos...... weeeeeeeeeeee), calendar girl contest, MMA exhibition matches, and a lot of Muay Thai fights ^_^

I can't wait.

Is Chris Flowers that kid you were training for an upcoming BJJ tournament when I came to MMA class?

Anyhoo keep me informed I might (leaning to definite) come along and see you guys kick some ass in Tulsa.

Ha ha, don't forget to flaunt this over that McDojo weirdo in your area who claims you're "raping" the martial arts.
