So did James Bond. In "Goldfinger." Aikido has Steven Segal. No comparison.

Yes, 007 often did judo. So did Bill Cosby and Robert Culp in the original "I spy". Believe it or not, they actually did real judo on that show.

And how could anyone forget Teddy Roosevelt...also a Judoka.

The Avengers Emma Peel (?) also did Judo...

The only guy who managed to beat the hell out of Oh Dae Su in "Old Boy" was a judoka, and he did it with a textbook ashi barai. No comparison, judo owns everyone.

Yeah, but was Sean Connery ever cool enough to be in a movie with DMX?
No, the closest he got was Wesley Snipes.

NO ONE can argue that.

I should add to my earlier post, that I hold 2nd Kyu in Aikido, and a yellow (no longer training) in Judo.

I would take my 2 months of Judo over a year and them some of Aikido in a real fight anyday.

Do aikido so it's easier for everyone to kick your ass. :glasses1:

This is going to be my signature very soon.

Well, Judo it is. Until then, more focus on Shotokan. :) Thanks folks. I'll have more topics to bicker over in a bit.

I´ll just say this: when we do vale tudo training at my MT gym, the only reason I am able to hold my own against the guys who practice BJJ is my former judo training.

Basically, I fall on top of them and hold their necks for dear life. Groundfighting my ass, not if I can help it.

Yes, I do realise I should practice BJJ.

I heard Hitler did Aikido. Do you really want to be like Hitler?

C'mon, you know it's really your deadly Wing Chun! You can say it, we respect you, we're your friends, don't be ashamed, it's okay, we won't flame you. . .I promise!
*winks with fingers crossed behind back*

Yes, I do realise I should practice BJJ.
No. There are more important things to do in Brazil:
- Women
- Volleyball
- Surfing
- Women Volleyball Players
- Women Surfers
- Women Volleyball Players who Surf
- Women Surfers who play Volleyball
- Women

And as we all know James Bond would kick Steven Segal’s ass and then sleep with his woman, or sleep with his woman and then kick his ass…or just let Gene Lebell do it for him while James finishes his baccarat hand…
