Ok KFDW, yeah, the posters at MAP are badasses. :rolleyes: The primary difference between most other martial arts forums out there and Bullshido is that we're working against the bullshit training methods used by 95% of martial artists out there.

While they have some people who train realistically (instead of doing one/two step drills and point sparring bullshit), they have a hell of a lot more who don't. It's perfectly logical to make the assumption that a site devoted to improving standards in martial arts will have a larger percentage of members that actually train to higher standards, than a site that's all touchy-feely "everyone's opinion is equally valuable" full of **** like MAP and other sites tend to be.

We have quite a few, including yourself, don't sell this site short.

I'm not dissing those of us that do have real training and experience. But its an arrogance to say that this site is comprised "mostly" of such people. And, the mentality lends itself to make anybody on the bandwagon think they are the **** because the get along with the status quo here. Remember the "how long have you trained" thread? There wern't that many.

Sorry, just beacause one posts here and is "liked" doesn't mean they are anything special.

Just like anywhere else, being liked means something only to the person being liked.

Thing is, while there are many who are more "vocal than physical" and there are quite a few that are more "theory then practise", overall, we have a better ratio than the vast majority of sites out there, PLUS, we have a very varied variety of MA backgrounds also.

It's not "mostly" composed of them. I don't think that's what I said (and I'm not going to waste time going back to check either). The point was that for every 100 users on Bullshido vs any other General MA site, we've got more who actually train hard.

If I were to make a guess, I'd say about 25% of the active Bullshido members train appropriately, versues maybe 2-3% of members at MAP, or .000044533% of members at PaxCrappulum.

Now that would be an interesting statistic to figure out.
