I thought this threadwas about the existence of JHR, or 52 as it is also known as?

My .02 cents...it does exist. Is it a complete codified martial art, no. If it appears as anything it more likens itself to panatukuan.

Other than seeing some of it, and having a few moves shown to me (some of which I still use today when I train) when I was growing up...that is all I can really say about it.

im from Georgia and The jail House Rock is real its known as the Alto shuffle where im from and you got to go to Alto State Prison in Alto Georgia to learn it and if you go you got to talk to the right people not everybody knows it lol. i know it but just like the rest its my job to keep it a secret only a selective veiw know it . i will tell you it is one of the most dangerous fighting stlyles around why do you think its so secretive? just like the masons huh lol just because u never seen any techniques doesnt mean its not real. and the 52 hand blocks just put it this way eveything is blocked lol.and in 52 shuffling lol there is no size i seen skinny knock muscle on its back and i do mean quick to. yeah u can throw a punch if you want the fight to last longer . but in the 52 shuffle a elbow smash in your grill first blow you lucky if your nose is not broke or you have any teeth left and after that first hit come on be foreal what are you going to do? swing back lol on the ground looking up at the sky waiting on someone to kick a field goal with your nose naw laying all jokes a side The 52 Hand Block, The Jail House Rock, The Philly Bum Rush ,The Alto Shuffle ,The 52 shuffle are all the same thing it has more than one name cause diffenrt groups from different places cliam it and gave it a lil twist on the orginal name. its according on what area you in to what they call it but its all the samething just like you have German Brazil and japenese jasitsu its all about where you at thats why the names change

1. If it does exist, but it's so secret you can't show us, shut the **** up. If we can't learn it, then we're not interested, and frankly we've heard all this too deadly crap before.

To show that this is somehow a different type of elbow to the face than all the other elbows to the face contained in just about every decent striking art, the 52 handblocks has decided to far overhype the effectiveness of said technique.

Now I see why this secret style is so unstopable.

It's rumored that our very own Teen Ninja learned a few of the 52's moves. While in jail for his vandalism on the Muay Thai guys' properties, he allegedly met two inmates, known only as "Ray-Ray" and "Twinkles" , and exchanged a few of his Ninjutsu tricks for a couple of lessons in the 52's. This is also where he learned how to rap.

It is a African American Martial Art it is real it was made up by the slaves for protection and handed down in the Prison system and for the correction offercier Matt where do you work at a Day care the Prison i know is a whole differnt world than what you talking about . The reason why you never heared of it cause you need to get out of that Preschool you work in and come to Alto The home of the Shuffle thats were you will find it at. I know its there and is still there. Iknow it. Ive seen it in action .The Martial Art is not high kicks or Fancy round houses its what it says The 52 hand blocks but the hand blocks is the secret. Strike 52 times and i will block them all 52 times always one step ahead of you with the option to kill you with one strike because each block is not like regular block its a strike. Have you ever knocked someone out and hit them 52 times before they hit the Ground? Iwonder how thats possible? Have you ever lost a fight before it started?What does 52 mean in 52 hand blocks? I know the ansewer to all these questions. Do you? Not only that, its efficient and deadly Capoeria based fighting style (developed by slaves; because it did them SO much good against guns and whips) has taught them the secrets only goth teenagers have known for years..... a heavy metal belt can be swung like a whip and can hit someone in the head! HOLY ****. I tend to think people in jail learn to fight by actually getting into fights and not by learning secret urban kung fu.

Okay, if you are competent in this style, why don't you film yourself doing some of it, put up a video on You-Tube and then we can stop arguing about whether it exists or not. Its amazing, every other martial art I've heard of can pass this simple test but not apparently 52 Blocks.
