Maybe I'm anxious or need an excuse to train harder or something, but how about Vegas again?

Would early December be better for people than January? I'm open for anytime in the winter 'cept around the Holidays.

Yrkoon9's school seemed ok from what I could see online. And this time he'll get it on.

My vote is for Texas, perhaps Austin since we have a few guys there. Vegas was just a little bit too far. Or maybe even Canada with the Toronto crew. It'd be nice to get it someplace where our wives would like to visit regardless of throwdown. Because i know there ain't no way my wife is traveling (or will let me travel) across the country just for an internet meet-up.

I can probably make the journey anytime but December.

for those that haven't been around/don't remember, the last one was in Vegas with everybody "oh yeah! I'll be in Vegas for sure!" with only a handful of us actually showing up. Maybe a change in venue will help that. IOW going someplace where there's already a bunch of members already living...... Kansas City, San Diego, Chicago, Toronto, Atlanta, etc.

Well anytime travel is involved you can expect people to back out. Whatever city it is in needs to have enough **** to do pre and post Throwdown for those with spouses.

Guilty.

I'll go anywhere this time.

But I do remember Crimson Tiger mentioning a place with a good, direct airport hub.
Might make it easier on the travellers....

Just to throw it out there, Chicago has both O'hare and Midway for connections, and a pretty good cadre of members. I'm sure there'd be schools or locations that would be willing to rent out their space.

Hotels aren't too bad when you shack up multiple to a room, and there may be a couch or two to crash on.

I'll go to the next one. The last Atlanta one was too close to NAGA, didn't have the funds.

How about Florida, maybe Jacksonville or even Orlando, or Tampa (Rob Kahn!)...

ATL is good. :blob1:

ATL or LA are probably the best choices. I was hoping to organize the next one around Dragonfest if possible.

I gotta go with Toronto.
Partially because of the great promotional work done by Piz Doff, Toronto always has a decent turnout.
There is definitely a club scene, with the age requirement being ONLY 19, so Phrost could get in as well.
Major airports? A few.
Large public transit system? Thankfully!
Hotels within easy walking distance? Yes.
Places known for violence and crime? Definitely!
ronin69? Unfortunately.
Shopping? The place we usually meet is right downtown shopping area.
The Pride area isn't too far either for my rainbow coloured shopping needs.

Right now our meet location is taken care of thanks to IronMung. so we don't have to pay anything for the large matted room. Though if we will be expecting closer to 20 people with more than 2 hours I will look into hosting solutions.

How would that work out for us Americans (**** Yeah!) getting into Canada?

The primary considerations for the next MTD are:

1. Central Location that as many people as possible can make it to.
2. Convenient date which will work around people's free time.
3. Expense involved in getting/staying there.
4. Extra activities after the event.

Let's use this thread for suggestions, and then start a poll after we've hashed it out.
