KM vs Osiris (Striking): Until the last 30 of the 3rd round, I didn't see KM hit Os more than twice with clean hits: One punch, one kick, and that was due to an overly generous Os keeping his "raging African fury™" to a minimum. I don't know what was going on in those clinches, but there wasn't much action there; surprising since Os legitly boasted he controlled the clinch in his Smaginas bout. Even when taking it easy, I would have expected more control or striking from Os beyond some low kicks and an occasional high kick.

Os vs TNK (Clip 2): Os tries for a triangle and armbar, but doesn't secure them. Looks like he understands the movements and principles, but doesn't know the techniques as well. Goes from there to what looks like some drills to get Os acquainted with the different positions.


TNK vs Asia (Clip 1): Holy crap. I've never seen a neck crank from mount like that. Sl you had your left ankle on the left side of their head and pried it till the tap?

Clip 2: Asia clowning around with TNK. But I couldn't tell if Asia got the heel hook or if TNK got the choke in the second round.

It's also the sort of thing you do when you really outclass the people you're rolling with (sorry TNK).
The thought process is "what was that one move I saw in a magazine two years ago."

It's also why I tried a flying bicep splicer on Saturday.

Asia: You looked like you left a little space on your transitions. Do you have any problems against good small guys because of this? I ask because I hold fine against people around my size but have some difficulty against really good smaller guys. In some ways because of this I find being bigger a slight liability in some cases.

need to put this **** down before I forget so here's some random thoughts.....

Luan- his striking is really good, didn't know that before, we didn't get to roll, but maybe next time

Blankslate- good striking as usual and took a lot of hard shots and kept coming back for more, made Asia get a cramp and then capitalized on it by front kicking it and sending him to the mat

Asia - made me his bitch and pretty much everybody else as expected, really jacked me up using cross-grips and cross-faces (illegal Judo stuff that I'm not used to), I'm really going to have to pick your brain the next time we meet up to show me at least some of your cool moves, and GODDAMN, you can eat some sushi man!

Osiris - I think you held your own grappling with me quite well considering I probably have 100 lbs on you. Thanks for helping me with my sprawl.

Skummer - I hope we get the clip of you choking the dogshit out of me, I want to watch it so I know how I fucked up on that one. I think I was actually gurgling. Thanks for all the hard work on the clips, great work.

Locu5 - I think that if we had rolled last time you would have tapped me out, but my matwork has greatly improved since then. I hope you kick some old man's ass next week.

Knightmare - You definitely have promise, your striking is looking good FOR A TEENAGER. Don't forget that you're a punk ass kid until you turn 18, then .... all your base are belong to us!


Thanks again for the ass beatings and the sushi, it was great. And don't forget to drink more Kirin so that I have a nice retirement.


Steve: Os and I rolled continuously in both clips, I was pretty much gassed. Don't bag on Os' submissions too much because I have pretty good escapes against people near my own skill level. Asia tapped me out to ankle lock when I had his back.

Dochter: no offense taken, Asia way, way, way, way outclasses me, which isn't saying much considering I've been doing this for less than a year still. But his cross-facing was really screwing me up because I'm not used to it. All told, he probably tapped me about six times, but we didn't get all of them on tape.

It's so lax because it was friendly sparring, nothing hard.
