I wasn't going to post this, but after some searches, and turning up empty handed except for some lifting related injuries...
I injured my wrist putting together some exercise equipment, the piece started to fall, the floor was tile, and it didn't belong to us so I tried to catch it and did, unfortunately for me it wasn't before twisting my wrist too far counter-clockwise. I've had a sprained/strained wrist before so I figured no biggie, and eventually it began to heal.
During Kali class the instructor threw me at an akward angle, and trying to fall properly, I screwed up and ended up catching myself on the same wrist that was injured. Naturally, it was injured, again.
I wouldn't be complaining if this wasn't a month or two ago. I'm looking to start a new Kali class and, of course a sprained wrist isn't exactly helping. I don't know if it's just one of those sprains thats taking it's 6-8 weeks at a nice slow pace, or if I seriously screwed my wrist up.
It hurts on the left and somewhat on the right, and then shoot down the middle when I move my wrist counter-clockwise, clockwise is fine. It also hurts the same way when I put any weight on it, so this has put a damper on my exercise routine as I'd like to be able to do pushups.
Any advice, or people with similar injuries? thanks.
Oh and I just realized, you guys need an "injury", "hurt" or "health" icon.
I don't know **** about anatomy, but it sounds to me like you've done something bad there.
Whats the doc say?

no medical insurance...yet. I don't think..
1. Rest it.
2. Don't move it to extreme edges of ROM.
3. Do grip exercises.
4. Rest it.
After injuring my wrists time and time again this worked for me.
Yeah, don't forget to rest it.
Edit: And ice the things right after it happens as well to minimise swelling, which will speed the healing process.

What's a Chinese health ball? Are they suitable for making a chi joke, or should I just use a joke about testicles?

If you've been suffering for 6-8 weeks it's obvious anything we say here won't really help. You need to see a doctor. Us telling you to ice it down and walk it off won't make a difference.
Sounds like something more serious than a sprain.
I sprained my wrist last Friday and it's already feeling much better (but I'm still going to give it a couple of weeks off.

Iron balls with bells inside that you work around in the palm of your hand. Suppsedly relieves tendonitis, etc.

It had practically healed after a month...then I re-injured it and it's been about a month since, except it's not really gotten much better.
I'll see if we got medical insurance, and go to the ER and get a quick check...i hope.
Reikon i did the exact same thing
let us know if its any better, as im now in the same situation, but a month behind.

Could be nerve damage, ligement tear, tendon damage.
Could be a very serious sprain and you have NOT treated it as such.
Could be your jerking off too much, or too little.
No free clincs in your area?
You really should get it checked out to make sure you have no serious damage.
How old are you BTW ? with age thinks can take for ever to heal.
A very serious, yet just a sprain injury, can take a very long time to heal, amd if you DON'T take care of it, in other words you keep moving it, putting weith on it, etc. it can take even longer because, in relaity, you are re-injuring it everytime you try to see if its ok.
See a doc, get an x-ray.

You should also buy one of those wrist braces that they sell at various drug stores. That way you will limit the movement as well as the risk of accidently hurting it again. And of course of you can, get it x-rayed.
