I'm going to be headed up to MSU this fall and want to take some martial arts classes while I'm there. I'm looking for some groundfighting and it looks like it comes down to 2 places: The MSU Judo Club (site here (http://www.msu.edu/~judo/) ) or The American Martial Arts and Fitness Academy (site here (http://www.amafa.com/) ). The judo club is located on campus and would easily be the cheapest route. I'm not sure if they do no-gi training or not yet (waiting on a response). The academy thing is an off-campus place that probably charges quite a bit more, but offers bjj and supposedly muay thai and nhb training. What would be the best option? Should I go with judo which is close and costs close to nothing or should I go with bjj which is a bit aways and charges an unknown and probably (for a college freshman, anyways) overpriced fee? I have very little prior expirence in groundfighting. Thanks in advance for any help.
