hey, i don't want to alarm you, but somehow I knew you would say something like that.........especially without reading my post

you know you (well definitely not you) they manufacture more than a dozen similar chemicals from one major drug: morphine.
some of these drugs (codiene, heroin ,demoral etc...) only differ by a couple of functional groups. this is interesting, because most people consider these drugs different because they have largely different effects.

likewise, I consider crack, even though it is chemically similar, different because it has largely different effects from inhaled, powdered cocaine.

I'll talk about my experiences with Ecstacy to help with the input- I've taken x twice. The first time I took it I'm sure it was mixed with other drugs. It was a bigger pill that said 'bad boy' on it. The second time I took it, I'm pretty sure it was pure MDMA, it was a small pink pill. For the first hour or so of the first time I tryed it, it was really scary. It took about 15 or 20 minutes for it to kick in, and when it did it scared the hell out of me. Before taking ecstacy, I had only smoked marijuana so when it kicked in it was a big shock. The reason it scared me, was because my heart started beating really really fast, so I thought I was gonna have a heart attack or something. Both times I took it It lasted about five or six hours. The next morning when I woke up, it felt like I had a slight buzz- like being high off of weed a little. Later that night I really felt like **** though and felt really depressed, I'm guessing because it screws with your seritonin levals. I didn't have any problem with dehydration both of the times I did it, but I did drink alot of water. Ive taken alot of different drugs- so if any one has any questions I could probably help

Actually, I would. A friend came back from Bolivia one time with some bags of coca-leaf tea, which is sold over the counter there. I drank some, it was maybe a bit more perky than green tea (tasted a lot like it) but nothing like any description of cocaine intoxication I've ever read (I will not touch that nasty shite). Effects were mild.

Anyway, which of heroin, cocaine and meth is the most damaging illegal drug in america varies mostly by supply, to a lesser degree by demand. If crack is more in demand than coke, you can make it from powder; similarly if you really wanted to you could turn crack back into cocaine + table salt with muriatic acid.

If that afghani heroin ever starts arriving here we'll get a brand new lesson in how badly heroin sucks.

And yes I'm well aware of the differences between freebase and salts etc
apparently, there is evidence to suggest that freebased cocaine is more addicitve and has more undersirable effects than just blow. so much so that it is reflected in research and the law...

not on the same topic, but i think that my dangerous drug answer was probably premature...I don't really consider meth to be that terrible anymore. that just seems like hype to me. Opioids have always been the most addictive drugs. I had a friend in high school who was addicted to herion and he looked like a zombie. it took him two years to get off it and come back to school to get his GED.

sure meth addicts are twitchy and scratchy and they're smelly and talk to themselves, but they a least have a reasonable chance at making it clean past the first year. people on crack or herion have very little chance of that....

which is not to say that a full blown meth problem is nothing to sneeze at, but i think in any respects the three most dangerous are the big three: crack, horse and meth. when it comes down to crack and H those do seem to be more of a problem in terms of prevalence and lives affected.

My votes definitely go to crack and meth as the worst drugs.

When I was driving a cab in college a pretty girl waved me down once at 1 in the morning in a really, really bad neighborhood. She was wearing pajama's and tennis shoes. IT was probably about 50 degree's outside without windchill.

The first thing she asks is if she can just ride in the cab and talk for awhile for free. I said sure, no problem; I was curious and was worried that maybe she was in immediate trouble. So, I let her ride and talk for a bit.

Well, she wasn't in my cab for more than 5 minutes before she started asking to borrow money. As soon as she asked about cash I knew what she was. A brand spanking new crack addict. I was used to seeing them out and about just from driving a cab. This one caught me off guard. When I said I didn't feel comfortable loaning 30 bucks to someone I just met she offered "services". It made me want to vomit.

I stopped off at a dinner and paid for her to have some breakfast; normally, crack heads disgust me and I just tossed them out of the cab whenever I can. I was concerned because she was obviously no more than 20. I asked about her parents, she didn't want to go to their house. I asked about other family, refused to go there. We get back in the car and she starts asking for money again. I told her I won't give her any money because I know she'll use it to buy drugs. So she asks if I'll pay for a hotel room.

Again, no fucking way. I knew she wanted the hotel room to hook. Now, at this point, I did the only thing I felt would actually help this poor kid. I took her to the Waffle House where all the cops hang out. Told her I'd be right back, went inside and told them the situation and they arrested her for possession of drug paraphenalia.

She cried like a baby and made a pretty big scene; I felt pretty sickened about the whole thing and eventually quit the job just because I couldn't stand lowering my self esteem by proxy of being around crack heads and hookers.

The hookers wouldn't have exited without the crack in the first place. Every person that ever got robbed even driving a cab in that company was robbed by a crack head. I saw every bad thing there is to see about the effects crack has had on the african american community. In my opinion crack is the single worst thing to ever happen to the black community this century next to HIV.

My vote is for crystal meth.

Its a terrible drug thats really causing problems, particularly in the mid west where its rampant. There are plenty of drugs that can kill you faster but I dont think there are any that are spreading this fast while being so dangerous.

Personally, E(x) screwed me up pretty good, to tell the truth. I think I'm leaning more towards saying E is bad.

I think any drug that is not only available but is looked upon semi-favorally earns special points in bad, and ectasy's representatives (ravers, for the most part) are looked upon more as hedonists than satanists.

Of course, the only thing I wanted to do when I snorted a bunch of meth was go to Home Depot, buy wood, and make stuff.

nice that you jump on the bandwagon now after its been in the news lately about how its on the rise. and get this on the rise where you say, we in middle america. yep the same middle america that got goerge elected, now we cant have that and this to the ever growing "war on" list. not to mention this has been around for almost 30 years and places like cali, washiington state, and florida have been huge meth states for years and years. check the movie "Saltun Sea" with Val Kilmer about the meth life and undercover cops. very good

Actually, we liked to make birdhouses and spice racks. As a side note, I didn't ever care much for bongs, as I liked rolling and smoking from joints better.
