If a person travelled from NY to AZ with the express intent of fighting and killing an opponent and succeeded in doing so, that person would be guilty of 1st Degree Murder (premeditation) and felony murder on federal charges because the person crossed a state line to commit the act.

I own a Japanese tachi, Damyo quality, forged in 1550. I own a Japanese katana, a family heirloom, past down from first born son to first born son, forged in 1439, before Columbus set sail for America, I own several shinto period katanas and naginatas, 1 gunto katana, 2 modern Japanese Shinken katanas, and 3 Chinese forged Nosyuiaido katanas that I use for iai. And when I want to practice blade-on-blade contact katas that are sure to mark the blades, I use a cheap 440 stainless steel blade.

So call him bullshido, but do it because of his lack of ability, not equipment.

That is just plain stupid. If you really are a Kenjutsu instructor, you'd never say something as foolish as that. All he would have to do is sit back and tsuki you to death, one stab at a time. If anyone thinks that a bokken can beat a sharp blade, even a 440 steel one, they've watched Samurai I, II, and III, way too many times.


Challenge him on his obvious lack of knowledge, his inabilities to explain how he would defeat an attack, but don't declare him a loser simply because he owns a 440 stainless steel blade??
