I don't know if it is actually "subtly racist" at all.

I think it is just bad drawing. If you look at the two comics each frame and shape of the characters is exactly the same.

Look in particular at the exiting of the karate and boxer from the last frame. Its the exact same drawing.

dammit, why does my comic get no respect :(
