Uh no I think it means that he treats things in a rational mindset. The argument can't be invalidated by saying that the trains will fall into holes or be derailed by bandits in between.
And with 150 miles... what's that in metric? If I recall correctly the diameter of the earth is some 3670 or something kilometres... if you take that as an assumption, what do you get? Does the curvature of the earth somehow grossly alter the equations used?
by the way twitch heres what the dictionary says
Facing the other way; moving or tending away from each other: opposite directions.
whos the idiot and say sorry to mr glass
and you others who went along with him learn to think for yourselves
Yeah, the question isn't any harder if you want the trains to meet on the other side of the earth. The math isn't any more difficult. You're obviously connected to the internet, so looking up the circumferance shouldn't be that difficult. And if you don't know it, just set a value and solve based on that vlaue. We can tell from your answer if you understand the question. e.g. I assume the circumferance of the earth is 10,000 miles. therefore the trains will meet in 75 hours.
The estimate of the earth's circumferance can be way off, but if you get a consistent answer, you still win!
tai-gip you're being a little anal there. The meaning of the question was clear. Searching for loopholes like that is kind of pointless.
Else I'd say "STFU U IDIOT, YOU DIDN'T FUEL THE TRAINS BEFORE DEPARTURE, THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH PETROL!"
This is rich! tai-gip is accusing ME of misusing the language. Even with a dictionary you got it wrong, but never mind that. Now that you understand the question, try answering it.

You have forgotten wind speed, centrepedal force, probability of train breaking down/having accident, economics of scale, demand and supply etc.

This is getting sad. You're spending a lot of energy to avoid answering a question that my 10 year-old nephew was able to solve.
I have an additional question for you though. If I live in LA and drive south to San Diego, and my friend drives North from San Diego toward LA, are we traveling in the same or in opposite directions? Cause from your whining I get the distinct impression that you think we're traveling in the same direction.
