Looking at your version of the link, I see a period in the middle of the word "youtube". The phrase ".com" isn't present either.

I think you somehow rearranged some things and omitted others when you copied and pasted.

Here's the easiest way to embed a video on BS.

Go to the Advanced menu instead of the "Quick reply" one when composing a post. Find the video icon in the menu above the text box (it looks like a strip of film), click on it and then paste the entire youtube address into the address bar of the pop up menu. Hit ok and there you go.

Thank you.

I was actually going to the advanced menu, but I'm doing it from my iPhone instead of my PC. I don't know if the mobile links are different than the PC ones

Thank you. The guy told me he weighed around 225. I weighed in at 195.

I'm uploading the match in the semi-finals that i lost to a guy who told me he weighed a little under 250.

This guy had a first round bye, then finished his first opponent in a little over a minute with a guillotine. So i was trying to avoid letting him get my head at all costs.

Here is the finals of the "Advanced Gi Division" at the same tournament.

For whatever reason the black and brown belts that were there did only the no gi, which is a shame. I would have liked to fight the guy I lost to in a gi. In all honesty I wanted to fight him again no gi 60 seconds after our match finished. I guess that's what happens when you gas out

For those sub only matches, were they put in experience level or just weight class?

Oh man, beautiful sweep in the match 2 sub only at 1.50, hehe.

I really like the way you move around your opponents using your hand placements really well. I feel like I'm learning a lot from watching you move like this.

6.40 in the match 3 sub only, was the guy trying to lock in some weird kneebar? Damn, sneaky calfslicer he put on in the end there.

Thanks for uploading, man.

Props for the Videos/Fights. You are doing great.

Love the format (wish they would do something like that around here).

A few things I have noticed:
- you seem to avoid under hooks/head control during top half guard (I guess this is because you like to attack the arms)
- You have that triangle in the one fight, hook your shin (like eddy bravo does it, under not over the shin) step on his hip and get the angle to finish him, set up and all was lovely you just bailed on the sub
- in the first fight, you couldn't get the RNC because you didn't get your arm under his chin... there are two/three ways (one is not super 'clean' but works)
1) snake your hand (you get in behind their ear on the side of your choking arm and slide it under their jaw)
2) opening the bear bottle (you get your for arm parallel to your chest, on their jaw, thumb pointing to you. Then you turn the thumb/arm down a notch an try to enter with the inside blade of your forearm under his chin, you turn the thumb upwards a bit to lift his chin... rinse and repeat until you are under his chin)
3) This is a bit shunned up on but it works. It requires good hooks and a solid level of back control! Take your free hand and take the blade of your arm/back of your thumb and press it against the guys base of the nose (put it on his upper lip, then turn 90 degrees up that you are forcing it into the tiny thin bone of his nose/base of the nose.) Most guys will lift their chin... you snake in your other arm for the choke!
- you have nice body pressure but at times your ass is too high, gives them the chance to slip their shin/knee in

The sub only matches were "expert" matches. Idk everyone's experience. The guy I lost to told me he had trained for a little over 10 years.

Thank you for the kind words.

The guy I lost to kept going for different leg attacks... I feel silly for getting caught in what I got caught in. But live and learn. I'm a professional BJJ player, but an armature Bjj competitor. I've only competed a hand full of times. The biggest tournament I've competed at was the no gi pan ams as a purple belt 2 years ago. I got silver.

Thanks for the kinds words.

My primary style is to avoid side control/half guard, and work from some version of knee on belly. I find in more conducive for an armbar-centric game.

Though since those tournaments I've been working hard to improve my choke game. And it's forced me to use a lot more side control and half guard.

I'm assuming you are referring to the second fight when you mention me bailing on the triangle. I can promise you the guy was really big and pressing down on my chest/hips with soo much force it was crazy. I could barely keep my ankles crossed... i couldn't open up at all to move. I just didn't have it.

I 100% agree I need to work my entire choke game. And have been since that day. But i appreciate the advice as I don't think I can get enough, at least not when it comes to my crappy choke game.

Though I'm not sure when someone was slipping their shin/knee in because my ass was too high. Can you please point it out to me?

Thanks again for everything
