Simply put, Ashida Kim is the poster child for special ed martial arts. If you happen to have the extra time (sometime work is REALLY boring), you should read some of his book reviews posted on Amazon. Almost everyone bashes him pretty harshly.

while we were standing there, i began to feel a rise of energy (i remember contemplating then if it was fear or other), it began to consume my heart -it was invigorating- but the pace it was taking seemed to be going to fast to control, then my body started pounding with great force , making me lose my balance forward to back to forward, etc. i then said i was ready my face began to feel flushed with heat my sight began to distort seeing only a faint image of my surroundings, the image of my friend began to brighten and the detail became clearer. i remember thinking awesome my sight is adjusting accordingly to the situation( i normally have bad sight ). My friend began to move just slightly then spoke "I'm ready" without any hesitation and only the prospects of learning more about the word fight, i leaned forward then lunged toward my friend, my vision twisted i started to dream seeing things that could happen things that could not happen.but these visions were in my line of sight so i had to push them a side.
