I am looking for any and all Okinawan Karate schools in Utah, preferably Northen Utah, please No Kenpo/Kempo schools, I have nothing against them they just aren't for me, again I'm looking for styles like Shotokan, Goju Ryu, Isshinryu, Wado Ryu, Kyokushin, Shorin Ryu Etc preferably something with as little padding as possible in the sparring

I'm surprised nobody has tore this thread a new asshole yet. Use the search function on here to see if anyone has reviewed any schools in your area. Google would be your next step. Then grab a phone book. Then try out the classes.

KK, Shotokan and Wado aren't not so.... okinawan?

Maybe Utah is a martial arts mecca, but I'd bet that if you did find a karate school, you wouldn't get to choose whether it was Okinawan or not, and even if you did, you wouldn't get to choose their sparring methods.

The Pit Elevated is in Utah I believe. Yeah, they are Ke?po (sort of), but they spar hard. They wear gloves and stuff, but they spar hard.

goju-ryu is from Okinawa and i can tell you a good dojo to take it from if you want
