So, after over a year of no competition, I've finally re-entered the cage. The results? Well, check it out yourself:

Yes, that's "White and Nerdy" your hearing as I walk out. You can't really see it from that camera, but I was poppin' and lockin' as I made my entrance.
Going into this fight, I was nervous. Like, super fucking nervous. I hadn't fought in quite some time, and my last fight had me on the receiving end of some rather nasty GNP which I was less than eager to repeat.
Fortunately, that fate was avoided. I was extremely nervous (high heart rate, butterflies in the stomach, all that) leading into the fight, right up until the moment the bell rang. Then I was just like "oh, this is it. This is the fight. This is the thing I was worried about. I guess this isn't so bad."
I would've liked to have landed *any* strikes outside of the clinch, but oh well. I have no delusions of being a striker. I thoroughly enjoyed the chance to knee a dude in the head as hard as I could for a while (it's hard to fight legal venues for that), and feel bad about landing YET ANOTHER low blow. I swear, my knees are like groin-seeking missiles with agendas of their own. I especially felt bad about it since it meant I had to stop kneeing him in the head.
The seoinage at 5:10 was one of the most badass feeling moments of my life.
The promoter listed my funky back-triangle-armbar majig as the submission of the night on their website, which also made me feel pretty badass.
So yeah, it went well. I don't have any plans to fight again in the near future, what with moving and starting fashion school and all that; however, I'm glad I managed to get back in the cage before leaving Michigan behind.

Your nickname is Octopus 5? Couldnt hear too clearly!

*edit*

That knee didn't look like it hit flush on the groin to me :P

That throw was textbook. I loved it! Good job man.

Oh, my ring name is "Octopus Prime." Also - and it's kind of hard to hear as well - they announced me as a "Kung Fu Fighter," and my height as 5'12.

That shoulder throw was beautiful, and so was the big finish.

That whole fight was pretty funny, you look one those of those guys no one would think twice about. Then you throw mother fuckers and tool'em on the ground lol... Props to ya.

Beautiful throw McClaw. I also liked how you maintained control once you threw him. Nice job on the grappling side.

Man, that was great. From your walk out music to “five foot 12” to the tap, this is what local MMA is all about.

NIIICE! Fashion school you say? I probably missed it but what ever happened with the film you were doing choreography in?

It's still in post-production. I did do a short action film in February, though. I should probably post that.

You threw him like the 1919 World Series.

Yeah you have pretty excellent kung fu imho, to go with your excellent name.
