So, after over a year of no competition, I've finally re-entered the cage. The results? Well, check it out yourself:

Yes, that's "White and Nerdy" your hearing as I walk out. You can't really see it from that camera, but I was poppin' and lockin' as I made my entrance.
Going into this fight, I was nervous. Like, super fucking nervous. I hadn't fought in quite some time, and my last fight had me on the receiving end of some rather nasty GNP which I was less than eager to repeat.
Fortunately, that fate was avoided. I was extremely nervous (high heart rate, butterflies in the stomach, all that) leading into the fight, right up until the moment the bell rang. Then I was just like "oh, this is it. This is the fight. This is the thing I was worried about. I guess this isn't so bad."
I would've liked to have landed *any* strikes outside of the clinch, but oh well. I have no delusions of being a striker. I thoroughly enjoyed the chance to knee a dude in the head as hard as I could for a while (it's hard to fight legal venues for that), and feel bad about landing YET ANOTHER low blow. I swear, my knees are like groin-seeking missiles with agendas of their own. I especially felt bad about it since it meant I had to stop kneeing him in the head.
The seoinage at 5:10 was one of the most badass feeling moments of my life.
The promoter listed my funky back-triangle-armbar majig as the submission of the night on their website, which also made me feel pretty badass.
So yeah, it went well. I don't have any plans to fight again in the near future, what with moving and starting fashion school and all that; however, I'm glad I managed to get back in the cage before leaving Michigan behind.
