http://savate.org is a good start. It's UK-based, as you'll see, but it has videos, explanatory articles and a good introduction to the art overall.

There's an old Panther Productions DVD set made out of their old savate series. It's got savate champ Salem Asli (sp?) and its got everything you could want: technical breakdowns, narration with a funny French accent, leotards, and street defense in funny 80s clothes.
There's been some great reading material produced on savate over the past several years, but it's almost all in French - the best English-language sources I could recommend are actually translated excerpts in academic journals. Do you read French?

great site, i especially like the interview with the former savate champion i think the advice he gives about mixing savate training with boxing makes good sence, although other people may find it redundant to train both :/
Here is some nice DVD`s on BF-Savate:

Here's something I found on the British Library integrated catalogue:
http://catalogue.bl.uk/F/B37628PQD69AKD3TRDFY5AYBN7JTRJUHDCKNM1XYI3J9VIRTDV-13946?func=full-set-set&set_number=033403&set_entry=000001&format=999
And if you really want to learn French:
http://catalogue.bl.uk/F/B37628PQD69AKD3TRDFY5AYBN7JTRJUHDCKNM1XYI3J9VIRTDV-20062?func=find-b&request=boxe+francaise&find_code=WRD&adjacent=N&image.x=0&image.y=0
The Library of Congress might have some interesting books too. Give their search engines a go, and try to get an inter-library loan if you've got access to a university.
Another place you could check are memoirs and oral histories of US soldiers who fought on the Western Front during World War One. Apparently, they were quite taken by 'french boxing'.
