It's an hour from Portland/Vancouver,Wa...can you imagine trying to get there, along with half the population of the city? Thick with hippies, that road would be.

On a decently clear day i can sail there easily.
Heck there is a canoe race from that island to my island every year.
My friend and his family live there already and have a small farm to boot.
A certain Eddie V. has a little place there too, he'll supply the whiskey is my understanding.

I have a too-lazy-to-shave beard...I should have ground it into Strikestanian's eye-socket at MITB6. He was digging me in the neck and clavicle...and elbow grinding my poor foot/ankle.

Ok so this post got me thinking, would a fat person really live longer than a lean person without any food?? Isn't fat mostly just pure calories?? From what I have read starvation usually happens from organ failure, basically the organs shut down from lack of the nessasary nutrients. My thought is that this would occur regardless of fat deposits and may in fact happen faster in a fat person since their larger bodies require more in the way of nutrients. If anyone has ever seen those Sally Struthers commercials you can clearly see those skinny kids live forever without food, well minus the flies they eat that are always buzzing around them. So basically I'm asking would a fat person really live longer without food?? And if so why??



They'd live a little longer on only water. On rationed, very small amounts of food? quite a bit longer, actually.

Not in this post-apocalypse scenario. Slim, healthy people would chase them down and eat their tender, delicious meat, use their fat for candles, soap, and fuel, and use their skins for teepees or moccasins.

You really should put a little more thought into these questions before you post. Read lord of the flies and see what happens to fatties.

I'm only on page 3 and this is sooo funny. I agree with the OP in general and cullion is cracking me up. Dude, do you just not like the OP? WHY SO SERIOUS?
Anyway general survival skills are very good to have. Mechanical, agricultural, hunting, blah blah. It really doesn't matter if it's aliens, zombies or insurgents. The fat fucks will get eaten while I'm hauling ass outta ground zero.
Oh and, there is a difference between a big guy who's gotten a bit soft in his middle age and the grotesquely obese pos who can't climb a flight of stairs. I'm sure the OP knows the difference so why break his balls over semantics?
