My youngest son started wrestling in 7th grade last year and he is loving. This year I wanted to upgrade some of his equipment. Those are really nice. They are a lot more comfortable than the old Keen ear guards. I use the keen ones, but I have rolling partners who have the ones you are looking at. I like them a lot. I considered buying some, but I already have some wicked cauliflour ear, so there is no point. But, yeah they are a good buy.

Does he have good shoes too? You can never go wrong with quality wrestling shoes.

Thanks for the feedback. Since we get things at Century wholesale, it will save some money and still be a good investment. As for shoes, we went to Sports Authority at the beginning of the season and got him a pair of.....for the life of me I can't remember which brand. He has wider feet so it was hard to find a pair that fit well.

What brand would you recommend?

He is 13 yrs old 6'1" with a 10-10 1/2 shoe size. One thing we are getting him is a gym membership to start hitting the weights.

I prefer Asics. These (http://www.dickpondathletics.com/store/J900Y-9093%21ASICS/DAN+GABLE+ULTIMATE+2) are awesome. Really and Asics are great. Never buy Rhyno shoes, they are complete garbage. I have some friends who have Addidas, but they are not a good.
